61 faith + Dragon chime + 9999999 casting speed = instant death. I give up spent like probably 4 hours trying to do it without the ass protection ring and probably like 300k souls in the process

229 cast speed literally super cast times haha anyway the ring is called a Gower's ring of Protection which is pretty much 100% immunity from back attacks. You get the ring in NG+ using the bonfire enhancer which makes the enemies through out X area re spawn if you've exhausted the amount of times you've killed them and makes them go into a newgame + difficulty.
This stacks when you do another NG+ so in the area you used it to get the ring it will become NG++ Anyway It's just using lion set with mass attunment soft cap, and about the big ass retarded dragon all he literally does is try to step on you then fly in the fucking air and do a full front middle cone AoE meaning you have to anticipate where his ''tail'' is facing and move to that direction. Question - is this game still horribly unplayable with mouse and keyboard as they say? I always wanted to play Dark Sould but last time I had a console controller in my hands was in 1997.

With mods, even for DS1, it made the game a billion times easier to play.
Without mods theres massive input lag for the mouse, which otherwise would be adequate at the very least in DS2. "You can't bash someone else's shitty taste in music when you listen to 'grindcore'" -TheWretch̢

" Santier's Spear FTW! After "breaking" it you get a combination of spear, halberd, twin-blade and curved sword attacks. Awesome in pvp too since opponent can't guess what's coming next :P " I play with mouse+kb and it works fine, though an AutoHotkey script is needed to avoid mouse input lag. Also default binds need some tweaking. Don't let this bother you though, this game is awesome once you learn the ropes. | |
