Rogue Exiles "Overtuned" since last patch 1.12
It is her instability. Finally took her down today (after dying six times to her over the past 3-4 days. Her instability has got to go.

" agree. Minara's Minion Instability makes me actually feel bad about doing the same thing to bosses, when playing my summoner. facing her as a melee in anything but a wide-open space is hellish: you have no way of getting to her without hitting her minions - and they blow up in your face. and when you do manage to single her out, she still summons skeletons on top of you and they still blow up in your face. and she occasionally uses Vaal Summon Skeletons for that screen-freeze->you-died moment everybody loves. I imagine she wouldn't be so dangerous, if it wasn't for the game's technical inability to handle summoning a skeleton without halving your FPS - but right now she's still a "should avoid" encounter, while many other Exiles got nerfed beyond recognition. buff other exiles. nerf Minara Anemina. Alva: I'm sweating like a hog in heat
Shadow: That was fun |

" Yea her minion instability is the thing to fear! I think its because a big way that normal mobs are buffed for cruel/merciless is a straight-up HP multiplier...which is standard practice in these games but minion instability damage is a direct % of mob hp. If you can, try using arctic armor and ruby flasks just to fight her. Fire resist will reduce the dmg, arctic armor will nullify some of whats left. |

" Not all builds can i'm aware, but have you guys ever tried to single target her? she is not a threat at all for me when i take out my melee splash. As ranged she's even easier if you can offscreen her. For auto-aoe attacks uch as reave or cyclone. Just swap it to heavy strike and single target her for example Last time i fought her was in a -max +25% extra damage 72 waste pool map. Single targeted her to death and then single targeted her minions. Last edited by Mahesys#6567 on Apr 28, 2014, 4:48:43 AM

Minara is a problem but we can crush her in a group. I saw Igna Phoenix killing 6 +88 players in a Shipyard once. She is the devil, I fear her :/

" Yup, she's much stronger now than she used to be. In what area have you faced her? I'm feeling pretty good about my ranger, managed to faceroll Xandro, Igna, Minara and Antalie in 66-69 areas or so. Btw, have you had an encounter with Minara when she spammed vaal skeletons non stop? 20 minions every sec, all explode in your face. Now that was crazy and guaranteed -10% to your XP! lol 177 Last edited by toyotatundra#0800 on Apr 28, 2014, 1:24:02 PM

Some Rogues are really imba... i hate it most to bleed to death wile popping 2 Flasks to end bleeding thats not fun. No chance to get that bleed of me even with not using Blood Rage while fighting a rogue (wich gives me an insane health regen) im dead against some Exiles. I like them to be hard but if i had to kill some of em with a totally different build then this is just annoying. Getting Stomped by an Exile that u cant defeat or evade will just give me the feel i totally wasted my time for the lost xp.

Rogue exiles damage is way too overpowered for the level of maps they spawn in. Just died to some random minion raising corpse exploder and the damage can't be mitigated by any means of defensive stats. It's impossible to stand a chance. You either have to overgear content or just avoid the rogue exiles for good. Their damage seriously have to be looked at.

I am going to throw my 2 cents into this conversation I suppose because I have noticed that the maps are somewhat overtuned on their own, especially with only six chances. and the last thing you need is to waste all of your portals on 1 rogue exile that shows up as soon as you enter the map. :<
Earlier tonight I did Zana's daily mission, and it was one that I knew I could actually complete, which is RARE, but as soon as I entered the map, which was the Pier, I ran into Torr Olgosso, and had to waste 4 of my portals to beat this clown. :*( Like many of the melee based exiles recently, he uses leap slam to stay right in your face the whole fight, and because Grind Gear has decided for some reason to eliminate evasion as a viable defense, he had Resolute Technique, so landed every hit with his Double Strike. He also has a MASSIVE life pot that takes forever to wear down, and as a result I had to use portal after portal to re-up my pots to get through him. This map is difficult enough with only 6 portals, but I had to try and finish it with only 1, which I did, because Grind Gear gets off on these overtuned rogue exiles in the game for no reason whatsoever.... I am not trying to strong arm them though, and I will keep playing despite this stupidity, but they truly NEED to be toned down a bit, and they don't ALL need to have Resolute Technique, or Lioneye's bow so you cannot evade their OP attacks. Also, they do not ALL need to have an attack that keeps them right on your heels the whole fight, like Leap Slam,Flicker Strike, or whatever other unfair skill that Grind Gear decided to code into these monstrosities. WTF Grind Gear, fix this PLEASE!! |
