Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy have I upgraded my PC recently :(
Now I almost don't notice the loading screen at all. But thanks for the tip anyway, I will try it out on the older PC.

The most plausible post in the thread. Either real or master troll, cool anyway xD
I've done this trick several times and it's very accurate (at least I think it is, I suppose there's no real way to tell if I missed a CA when I immediately quit the instance). My problem is I have a SSD, so the load time is like 1 second without CA and 1.5 seconds with CA, so it's hard to know for sure (and things like strong boxes and shrines add to the load times as well). If you have a slow PC, it's probably way easier to tell.

Yep, I have an SSD as well, and because of that it is 100% impossible to tell in sarn because it is the same layout just with or without corrupted zones. Many of the other zones are also poor because their layouts change greatly. (Archives can be extremely small or mammoth.)

The best place so far for me is docks because of high chance to spawn and overall zones are close to the same size. There IS an occasional false positive and the occasional faster load even tho you get a zone because the map barely changed, but it is so far about 80-90% reliable. With those numbers I do find it faster to just keep creating new instances rather than completely clearing docks.

It will take some practice until you can tell reliably. If anyone without an SSD wants to test and let us know if it is easier to tell, that would be nice. I'm on work computer atm without SSD. If I get a chance to safely test it here later, I will.

reboticon's statement are positive with E-Mail conversations I had with support about Vaal Area Spawning, stating that upon entry it is decided whether a corrupted area is included in your instance or not.

Reboticon's advice works for me. I have an SSD too and you can see the difference between 1-2 seconds of loading and 2-3 seconds of loading (the black screen)

Alright guys, I've found a trick. It's not an intended trick, but it works for me and one of my guildmates nonetheless. I can't promise it will work for you. It will probably work better the worse your computer is.

Farm docks. Corrupt zone spawns there way more frequently than in sarn. Count the time it takes to load the zone. For me, if it takes less than 3 seconds to load the zone, I will not get a corrupted area. If it takes longer than 3 seconds (between 3 and 4 seconds for me), I get a corrupted area.

So far I have a better than 90% success rate with this. My friend has about an 80% success rate. Probably the worse your computer is, the more noticeable the slight difference in loading time will be.

edit: the first time you create an instance in docks seems to take slightly longer than subsequent times. Maybe it is loading the tileset, IDK.

That ^ is the most useful advice in the entirety of this thread. I just tried the advice and I chained about 5 corrupted instances in a row within 15 minutes. I misjudged a few times, because it seems like certain "regular" tilesets are just a bit larger, which causes a false positive. Overrall, the success rate is about 80-90% as mentioned. I find it kind of funny how we have to take advantage of PoE's technical limitations to farm fragments.

Another helpful tip: If you're having problems counting in your head or losing track of how long it takes to load the instance, use an online metronome. For example: http://a.bestmetronome.com/ Set it to 60-90 beats per minute. Turn your volume up so you can hear it in the background.

Ugh, bad news. My friend got banned for this, and then unbanned after they saw it was a false flag, but fair warning. Me, I'm gonna keep doing it because at this point I feel like if I get banned for this they are just doing me a favor. 76 corrupted areas in a row without a midnight.

I've been running this the last hour or so and I'm having about an 80% success rate. No luck getting good drops, though. GGG has to be loving the mass instance creation that I'm responsible for. :p

Gmphhhpffffff. I ve used this site numerous times when my regular metronome ran out of battery, but i used it to practise polyrythms and odd note groupings on my instrument.....If 2 years someone told me that i would be using it to count loading times in a game to exploit something,in order to play a fight,i d told them that i d never sink that loww gmmphhh.(using the link)
