I don't know anything about how these shards work...today just did the first corrupted area I ran into (Inner Grounds), killed Inti and got Sacrifice at Midnight

I did farm for the Corrupted Areas the last 5 days and you know what?

This is the absolutely worst time I had in PoE since Closed Beta. Ever.

You have to be lucky (first roulette) to even get the area, then you have to be lucky AGAIN (roulette #2) to get appropriate fragments and finally you have to be lucky on top of all that to get to Atziri and drop anything of any value.

AND, while farming the fragment and having unlucky streak (72 CoS in a row, no CA), you get absolutely nihil reward for your time investment (XP = zero)


So TL;DR?

The INTENDED way of farming fragments is to rip beginners AKA "trade for it"

I've been farming trade chat for them. It works great, but I'm pretty broke now. This dropped last night, though.

I can't really understand what's going on with this "you are farming the wrong way" !

Just tell us what's wrong dammit!! >.<

GGG would rather it's players quit the game because they are so frustrated than give us a hint on how to properly farm these items.

After coming to the same conclusion as you last week, I've since quit the game. First, GGG doesn't let end-game players sustain high level maps, and second, restricts Atziri behind a giant wall of RNG. Basically the game's telling us to go mindlessly farm lower areas over and over because apparently we're not worthy of more challenging content, unless we get extremely lucky.

Alright guys, I've found a trick. It's not an intended trick, but it works for me and one of my guildmates nonetheless. I can't promise it will work for you. It will probably work better the worse your computer is.

Farm docks. Corrupt zone spawns there way more frequently than in sarn. Count the time it takes to load the zone. For me, if it takes less than 3 seconds to load the zone, I will not get a corrupted area. If it takes longer than 3 seconds (between 3 and 4 seconds for me), I get a corrupted area.

So far I have a better than 90% success rate with this. My friend has about an 80% success rate. Probably the worse your computer is, the more noticeable the slight difference in loading time will be.

edit: the first time you create an instance in docks seems to take slightly longer than subsequent times. Maybe it is loading the tileset, IDK.
