Based on this video, where even a guy with basically BiS 100% perfect gear (link) has trouble with Atziri, I'm sure that I would burn through the 6 red portals in about 30 seconds flat. Looks like I'll be selling my midnight shard to someone more worthy.

Those vaal zones just stopped spawning from my client since 20 hours ago (flagged for some personal reason lol?). What new content?

Personally I like the idea of very hard optional bosses. We had this in Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate 2. It adds atmosphere if you know that there is something truly evil out there left for you to beat...

The problem is more that because of the way this expansion has been announced/communicated a lot of people falsely assumed Atziri would be the new 'main opponent' instead of Dominus and that they'd fight her very soon.

Instead she's very hard to reach, and if you did, you would most likely only waste the fragments, unless you are one of the very few best tanks.

Noon is also rare, but not like midnight. Only took 12 hours of running through normal to acquire those! Thats like 1 hour per chisel! OH YEAH!
