deleted thread - a clarification

I get a kick out of how the mana regen aura devours all your mana.

And yeah, back in Closed Beta, the volunteer moderators were...well, we did things a little differently, that's for sure. :)

And that is what this is really about for you.
I don't know, I still agree with Barl (I believe that was his name) that this is a relatively minor issue that seems to get a bit blown out of proportion. In a way, I feel this thread is a pretty delicious reward for what is essentially a complaint about a thread locking/deletion (normally, people are told to send in a ticket, which I feel is a better approach). Then again, some interesting conversation sparked from this thread, too.
This link might prove relevant to the current discussion. To be honest, I cringe at how Charan has been focusing the phrase "hateful."
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

They aren't a huge company like Blizzard.

almost no exceptions.

Expecting a company of this size to work in every single one of your suggestions is just asinine, if not downright rude.

I've seen threads - mine and not - being buried in god-forsaken forums, never to be heard from again.

Guess what? That happens in EVERY FORUM ON THE PLANET. Except ones with few viewers.

I've played long enough, to notice hardly anything at all from literally megabytes of text, was taken by the team and run-with.

Um, yeah, the question isn't WHY AREN'T THEY DOING EVERYTHING WE SAY, It's HOW REASONABLE ARE THESE DEMANDS THAT MUST BE MET WITHIN ONE YEAR OR WE WILL GO NUKKALAR ON THE FORUMS!!!!

(also, you don't know what megabytes of text are, unless you use some idiotic formatting that bloats all your words to nearly 3kB each. What I've written here is not even one hundredth of a megabyte. You have written more than 200x the length of this post? I highly doubt it)

(this also brings into contention your later claim that you're a programmer

and not necessarily because GGG disagreed with it on a professional level. yes I just said it.

THEN MAYBE YOU REALIZE THERE ARE OTHER REASONS THAT ALL YOUR DEMANDS ARE NOT MET. HMM. I WONDER WHAT THOSE COULD POSSIBLY BE.

in the specific case of the deleted thread, it was a rather toxic way of providing feedback.

I'm glad you freely admit this.

"
johnKeys wrote:
I absolutely knew what will happen to the thread once I posted it

then you have nothing to complain about, you knew it was toxic, you knew it was not going to do anything but enflame people at GGG, and...

((and yet you weren't even banned for it))

instead of finding my thread dumped into something like "off topic" or "suggestions", I found it vaporized.
Gee, a toxic thread was deleted, in the words of the OP, and you became as indignant as you could, like a crook caught stealing someone's left shoe.

"
johnKeys wrote:
and usually when I get posts moderated, the moderator quickly sends me a PM informing me of that. some of them are even kind enough to explain why.
no such thing in this case.

You know and or KNEW it was toxic, and you are mad that it wasn't explained why it was deleted.... And your threads are often moderated... maybe you would figure there's a problem when many of your threads require mod attention.

How about let's make up some rules no one has ever heard before:

Try to be respectful when you don't agree with others.

Don't troll just for the intent to piss people off.

Don't create threads, (and more and more threads) about your deleted thread, one is enough.

I did not call GGG bad developers. I called their decisions questionable, and their priorities bad.

I will quote you, since your memory is pretty DAMN bad.

Sacrifice Of The Vaal will make everything better

Spoiler
just like release made everything better...

yeah...

get ready for another round of lag, desync, poor graphical optimization, balance problems, RMT-and-scammer-friendly loot system...

BUT it will all be spiced-up with nice shiny new uniques, awesome MTXes, cool leagues, and a whole lot of eye-candy. heck, there might be a hot female boss!
because eye-candy sells, while under-the-hood fixes are just boring, right GGG?
who needs stability, anyway?

That is not doing anything you had just said.

there is a difference here. an important one.
being a developer myself, I respect any and all people who code because I know how gruelling that can be.

but when some serious task gets postponed indefinitely - and consistently, for over a year - and replaced by yet another set of minor tricks of "painting the car" instead of repairing a faulty engine - I get annoyed. it's not a "bad developer" thing but rather horrible decision-making and priority-setting.
and when it's so consistently bad, one has to wonder.

You're RIGHT. They make the game unstable ON PURPOSE. AS YOU SURMISE, JUST SO THEY CAN GIVE US MORE THINGS TO BUY, in the game they're INTENTIONALLY GIMPING.

YEAH UM OKAY.

those who responded to that thread and it's deletion by calling me a "snotty teenager" (and all derivatives) - I'm probably not much younger than your father....

it's meant intellectually, not in an arbitrarily measured kind of way. There are many 40 year olds who act as if they're 12 (or younger). I am surprised you would not know this if you were actually as old as you claim(perhaps even pretend) you are.

There's SO MUCH more I can say, but I really don't want to waste one more minute with this intellectual detritus masquerading as persecution.

And to the people who've Pm'd me today, I'm sorry but I'll have to get back to you later, asap. This singular post has taken up all my internets time.
