New Trading System IN MARCH 2014?!

What about simply limiting how many trades can be done using whatever new system they come up with? The limit could be high enough to make it not affect normal players, but still keep flipping or bots somewhat under control. Something like 20 or even 50 trades per day per account(and with some way of tracking things so people can't just mule items to their other account to get around the limit too easily).

how about if the search method only took you so far as sending you to the player's hideout. then you would still have to locate their trade stash and and pickup the item. this would require enough user input that bot's wouldn't be able to auto-trade

I'm sure bots would have no trouble at all locating the stash.
What about a Captcha Code.
I think the re-listing scenario is not that of a problem.

The REAL problem is that bots react on item being listed for sell an ORDER OF MAGNITUDE faster than people. This is by my opinion an unfair advantage.

Therefore I think it would be only fair that the seller of the item must accept the trade to be done. And this would apply even for buyout items and buyout trades. This system is fair and especially even helps new players list their items for "more" correct price. Since if the system supports the choice to whom to accept and too many people/bots are interested in small period of time, the user might as well still retract the item and list for higher price. :-)

Just my 2 cents to this topic.

MY CHALLENGES ARE DONE ON HC, IT'S NOT SC GUYS!

What players don't seem to understand: currently it is possible to sell OK stuff. I make about 3-4 ex a day selling 1-5 chaos items that I find while mapping. This is only because there IS effort involved in trading. As soon as GGG puts in a convenient way for trading, no one will be able to sell anything that is not (almost) perfect. Then the same players will start crying: "I never find anything that I can sell for a reasonable price, ps improve itemization."

The current state of trade mechanics (inconvenient and intransparent) makes sure that one can actually sell stuff. Be grateful for it.

QFT

The most important thing to make trading fun, is to limit the supply. There are several ways of doing this, but there is no doubt that turning trading into a clusterf_%k that few people can be bothered with is effective.
Tide goes in, tide goes out. You can't explain that.

Main frustration from trading is the wall of guys too lazy to answer anything even for valuable items when they are mapping ( thanks /whois command ).

Finaly ended to just add them into ignore list considering if they were too lazy to answer i was eventualy too lazy to sell them something one day.

Wasting 2sec saying " after map " " not today " won't ruin your life.
Hf :)
When i tell people its in standard sometimes they'll curse like i just insulted their mother or something.

POE trading is major turn off for me. I play since closed beta and every time I quit it was because some major bs GGG later on fixed. I came to the point (again) where I just cant bother with trading and when I come to point where I need to trade more often than not Id rather play some other game.

If they could make crafting somewhat better why not trading?

People who complain and speculate about "possible" bot abuse with in game trading system forget that we have major bot abuse right now because we don't have in game trading system.

Right now its almost impossible to buy cheap or (god forbid) undervalued item through POE trade.

So before you come up with ridiculous excuses why we shouldn't have in game trading try to give GGG some ideas and support.

GGG I'm willing to pay for trading service or there is nothing but to look for another game till you get your shit together, again.

q: games which have an effective trading system are less bot infected because of what?
