It is easier, yes. But I would argue that it is not better. It allows for large-scale manipulation of the economy, and mistakes such as 1 exalt = 2 divine are nearly impossible to fix... Isn't the fact that you have nothing to sell besides low-mid tier stuff just supporting the fact that loot is shit? Way to contradict yourself. I agree with your point about loot still being sellable and making a good profit if you hold onto every mediocre one and sell for dirt cheap yes but the chances of someone actually finding gear that serves as a good upgrade (whether it's for themselves or has a good sellable price so they can buy something of value) is very very slim. I've made 4 Lvl 75-90 Domination characters so far, and the most expensive item I've probably found was worth 2 exalts. I probably made 90% of my profits from selling cheap low to mid-tier leveling gear for 1 chaos each. One problem - After one month in soft league like domi, everyone almost shit with this 10c rares and only top gear worth 1-50ex sells. Ps. 1c items are not worth the time spent on trade tps, you are making same cash droping rares/blues in map. OK, I'll bite. I farmed 9600 items off dominus. I got zero daggers with 220dps or even 200 dps. I got 3 maces/swords with 250dps, I got 1 nice belt, I got 5 nice pairs of boots and I got 6 uniques worth around 1-2 exalts. A total of 15 10 chaos + items farmed, and 8 uniuque maps. Even though many of those maps wont even sell for 3 chaos (overgrown shrines), we can go ahead and call that 23 items. That is 1 decent/good item for every 400 farmed. It is also 400 trash uniques vendored, or 1 out of every 25 items. Do I think that is a good ratio? No, I don't. BTW, it's much easier to find good items in standard where you can run with a culler and the quantity affix exists. Thread #729922 if you want a complete breakdown. That was just an example with a dagger. You probably got rare jewelry that someone would gladly pay exalts for it, but it seemed like shit to you so you either vendored it or sold for 2 gcp. Stop centering around uniques, for the sake of rare items. The moment someone even mentions trash uniques, bla bla... I stop reading. Wealth is not only in the unique items, people... concentrate. Nobody sells anything but end-game gear because you'd have to spend more time trading than playing to sell anything mid-game or low game. The trade chat is a constant spam with crap nobody buys. The chance of someone noticing your item is so small why you'd bother I don't know. Ah yes and the drops ARE shit. It's so obvious there's no need to try to re-explain. Start looking for wealth in rare items, especially jewelry. There are all those top tier uniques on sale, so they are dropping, just probably not to one who have a use from them, logically. Loot is absolutely fine, the problem is you complainer, because you have no knowledge of the item worth. The bold is where I stopped reading. It takes all of 2 minutes every hour or so to make an average 5-10 chaos trade. It isn't anybody's fault but your own if you can't manage to set a fair buyout on a mid-range rare and you end up playing the "derp offer?/herp how much?" game that plagues noobish trade rituals. Grow some balls and tell people what you want for something. And trade chat sucks, that's common knowledge. Make a damn thread. Anyway, good thread OP.
