You have been on this forum for THIS league. If you were to review my posts from LAST league, before removal of quantity gem and changing to gating uniques to maps where they STILL DONT DROP, you would see that I had zero problems with loot, and thought that people who did were crazy.

Now, you can chock that up to RNG, but I honestly believe I've put in enough hours to rule that out. It's the quantity + loot changes to 1.0 I have such a huge problem with. I have no problem with having to put insane hours into the game. I do have a problem with putting insane hours in to never get a drop.

I'm not passing judgement on anyone, I just feel as though a lot of players could gain a lot more enjoyment from the game by making some modifications to their own expectations rather than asking for GGG to modify the game.

Blizzard tried that shit with D3 when people were running out the door, "the game is good! You're all wrong! You'll be back when you realize how wrong you are about us being right hahaha!".

It's 2014 buddy. People don't have to 'settle' anymore. You want my money? Impress me or I'll go play a different game. Whenever I see these posts, it's 90% that agree drop rates and crafting are a complete shitfest. We need that 90% for this game to do well, so it's time to stop being selfish and blind to what's going on. If you want the game to survive a year from now, 2 years, 5 years then you can't tell the 90% of players that are still here to fuck off.

90% of the 5% of active players that participate on the forums. And likely only the ones angered enough to go out of their way to cry about it on the forums. The other 95% are still playing. I'm okay with letting 90% of the 5% walk.

And clearly the white knights are here as well, so it can't be just the complainers. 0 of the 30 people on my friends list who left came to the forums, because they didn't give a shit enough. The 5% represent the people who care about the game, regardless of what their stance is. Most people just Alt F4 and double click another desktop icon. You're in the minority and telling the majority "fuck off I'm right, you're wrong". Quit being a gamer elitist.

In reality, these drops are occurring, these items do exist on the servers, and probably in the numbers that the devs feel is balanced for overall game health.

And you can't tell me that you haven't traded/vendor recipe for enough orbs to allow you to trade for the items you so badly want to drop (or should we all ignore your posts in the "Offer" thread?). Someone with your level of experience has to know how to to play the orb gathering game. You misunderstand me. Yes, you can grind out orbs and buy items. I've made a ton in the last couple days, but I have actually played almost ZERO. I don't want to play trade chat tycoon, I want to kill monsters. Do I complain about it? Yeah, I do. I've watched every good quality of life change that has occurred in this game happen after people complained and complained. I watched build after build get nerfed because people complained and complained. That's the thing, complaining genuinely seems to work, that's why I do it.

And I do use my orbs to buy items, that's literally the only thing I use them for, but a couple exalts and 300 chaos is not nearly enough to buy most "good" uniques these days now that they've been gated, so I will sit on them until I have enough. This ties up more orbs in my stash, which goes against what dev's have previously said they want to occur, they want the orbs out in the economy, but with prices skyrocketing due to gates, that no longer happens. That's why chaos to exalt is 37:1 in domination and 20:1 in standard.

I completely agree with him. Just restrict low level uniques from maps and the feel of loot would just be better. Build enablers like searing touch and facebreakers should still drop but the many leveling uniques should be kept in that leveling content.

It just means that the next time a pillar of light appears it isn't just another level 18 unique that I'll vendor. It makes uniques feel special.

And exactly this! Yes, I do complain about not getting drops, but the main reason for that is because I've now seen that beam of light over 500 times this league, and it hasn't meant a thing. It has always been bad. Every time I get another one it gets under my skin a little bit more. I would complain far less if I simply got less uniques, because any one of those uniques COULD have rolled a good item.

The 5% who use the forums are a cross section of the population as a whole, just like there are people like you who spend their time on the forum getting their nose as brown as possible. All I have to do is look at my friends list to know that I am not alone in my thinking. Does everyone on my list agree with me? Of course not! The ones that do, they don't log on anymore, and it is far greater than 5%.

ahahaha, Thanks I enjoy the dance as well, that's why I keep it (usually) civil with you. If I fail in that regard it really just means you scored a point ^^

Fair warning - prolonged exposure to this forum does change you. (I don't mean your opinions so much as having to keep yourself in check from devolving into a child, or at least I have to watch myself.)
