" Agreed, but i don't mind reading different stances on the same issue. If it's going in circles i apologize, i did not read the entire thread, i am perfectly sure a lot of issue's have been brought up already. And maybe some half-baked solutions. " It's the unique rates I have a problem with, and a huge part of it is that so many trash ones drop in high levels. I have 8 itemlevel 75+ crown of thorns. I have thought about this a lot lately, and I believe I would have less complaints if shitty uniques simply dropped less. As it is that beam of light means nothing, now. You have been on this forum for THIS league. If you were to review my posts from LAST league, before removal of quantity gem and changing to gating uniques to maps where they STILL DONT DROP, you would see that I had zero problems with loot, and thought that people who did were crazy. Now, you can chock that up to RNG, but I honestly believe I've put in enough hours to rule that out. It's the quantity + loot changes to 1.0 I have such a huge problem with. I have no problem with having to put insane hours into the game. I do have a problem with putting insane hours in to never get a drop. Anarchy/Onslaught T shirt

" That's is what GGG obviously promotes, party play. Hence all the changes, mainly aura changes. And of course, the whole map system genuinely promotes party play, which I personally detest, but GGG is surely getting nice $$$ from MTX for promoting party play. |

" for once, I agree. shiny micro-transactions are nothing without people marvelling at their "shinyness". and cooperative play is very highly encouraged indeed. but it all smells extremely MMO, and the trade-centred design very much reflects that. I just miss the "old school" ARPGs. those that were locally-installed and mostly single-player, with a touch of multi-player when you wanted it. I'm not a lone wolf playing games. hell, I played D1 - and earlier games - with friends using some ancient protocol over dial-up connection, and still have a Battle.net account somewhere for D2. I just don't like multi-player and trade being shoved down my throat. give me a real, old-school hardcore ARPG with Path Of Exile's skill system and passive tree - and I'll play nothing else for years. I mean seriously guys i can understand a bit of nostalgia here and there about certain mechanics (deathpenalty - small inventorysize gross - customization blabla d2 atmosphere) but in itself PoE trading could be a LOT better which mainly has to do with the fact that Droprates are not as good solo as they are in parties so naturally people complain. I played one poorjoys solo once - not a single unique play it in a party of 6 - bam one dude gets a maligaros and a few other not mentionable ones. Now lets see the rolls %physdmg from cruel +physdmg from late normal +fireresistance from late merc +increased stunduration +10-20fire dmg I get 100s of these in 70+maps and beyond. It is EXACTLY the same issue this game is facing right now that D3 did. Keeping players happy and motivated to hunt for loot in the endgame. If the carrot on the stick is artificially impaired and frustrating - players will play less. I´d have the perfect solution for all of these problems. (Release act 4 and give us ubermaps with tons of monsters i mean hundreds in one PACK 100 fucking blue dogs or devourers for hardcore crazies fucking 1000 avian retches) GET CREATIVE AND STOP FLINGING SHIT AT US. love your game though - no homo |

" All that party centered play would be able to change if GGG starts to charge accounts, 20$ a month, example. But for now, I do believe they have a massive income from the current system, and although I absolutely hate with passion that my leveling process has to be based on luck (not taking non-map-loot in account) or wealth. But I'm managing just fine, I still shiver at white framed items and their sound, in hope I got a refund and didn't lose 2-4 ex per run. Nevertheless, big off topic here. " You want and expect top tier uniques to drop for you, and you feel as though you are doing everything in your power to make that happen. RNG is not helping you out, you are frustrated. In reality, these drops are occurring, these items do exist on the servers, and probably in the numbers that the devs feel is balanced for overall game health. And you can't tell me that you haven't traded/vendor recipe for enough orbs to allow you to trade for the items you so badly want to drop (or should we all ignore your posts in the "Offer" thread?). Someone with your level of experience has to know how to to play the orb gathering game. But you may not want to have to pay out for those items, so you will continue to grind for them, and continue to be unsatisfied when your expectations are not met. It's all about expectations. Players that expect to gain ANYTHING other than some time in game and maybe some EXP are, honestly, expecting too much. The reward is being able to waste time, at no real expense, and I realize it every time I log on. If you don't enjoy simply playing the game, don't play, as your expectations will never be met. That's the way RNG is, damn cruel mistress. I'm not passing judgement on anyone, I just feel as though a lot of players could gain a lot more enjoyment from the game by making some modifications to their own expectations rather than asking for GGG to modify the game. |

" He's not saying that at all you know. I completely agree with him. Just restrict low level uniques from maps and the feel of loot would just be better. Build enablers like searing touch and facebreakers should still drop but the many leveling uniques should be kept in that leveling content. It just means that the next time a pillar of light appears it isn't just another level 18 unique that I'll vendor. It makes uniques feel special. |
