No, you want to find your own Soul Taker and mirrorable chest piece.
You're filled with all the fancy images on the forum that people have for gear, and therefore you feel like you have to have that too, otherwise loot sucks.
Do you even know what are the chances that you drop an upgrade on a 80th level? With all the base items that drop, with all the mods and brackets that exist?
You drop good items constantly, just majority (logically) is not an upgrade for you, holy shit, can you imagine that?
You then sell that item or trade for an upgrade for yourself, that is actually doable in a online multiplayer game which is focused on players interaction with other player.
The problem is, people who are disappointed come to the forum and share their thoughts, rarely a satisfied player comes here and talks about a nice upgrade for himself, also logically.
The horror, the game couldn't keep you playing for 10 years.
I literally already stated unless we have loot tables and make the game NOT about RNG, it is impossible to make time = always "rewarding".
You always make currency when you play and that currency can be used to craft upgrades to what you are currently using.
Obviously after a year of play time it will take more time to get yourself an upgrade b/c you have already found good gear, but the ability is still there.
Not to mention with the huge skill tree there are countless build possibilities that could be experimented with, obviously you won't be entertained for years with the same one character you created.
Loot tables = less time played b/c once you have everything on a boss' loot table there is no reason to run it anymore, which means that content becomes dead to you. RNG is what extends the time you continue playing, not the other way around.
If you have gear that that beat map dom, what the hell are you going to find after that would be a gear upgrade?
Also I posted my current gear with my character with plenty of exalts to buy upgrades, get your "I have better gear then you" high horse to attempt to discredit the fact that end game PoE sucks shit for progression because there is nothing else to do.
You WANT to find the top 1% gear in this game for every single slot, unless they make the top 1% gear ALOT more common. TRADING for the top 1% is always faster, and even if they were more common TRADING for them is still faster.
Like it literally blow my mind that people with the "top" gear in the game expect that there is MORE after that.
There where people in the 1 week Nemesis/Dom race that had better gear than you and the same axe.
Your gear might be ok, but it sure as hell isnt good by any means so I don't even see what your point is.
My BoR is worth more than all of your shit probably x2
My dagger could by your character over more than idk 5 times at the very least. So im not even sure wth you are saying.
You have a 1-2 ex axe (is it even wortht hat?) and strides that are worth 1-2 ex..

lol ok, let's not forget that I possibility couldn't have many characters or play on many different leagues.
Unlike you instead of just buying the gear I can wait until a good upgrade drop for my character. I don't expect massive amounts of gear upgrades to drop for me at this point because there's no more content to play.

Agree. I farmed Piety for a month with 131/400 and didn't get anything "better" than an Alpha's Howl. But did i complain? Nope, because there's absolutely no reason to complain. I still made around 600 chaos and 40 exalts from loot others won't even ID.
Edit: This also goes along very well with all these "Nothing sells at standard unless it's absolute top tier" crap. I mean, the last month has proven me otherwise very well. And i don't even play the trading game or whatever people call it, all i have is my little shop with some b/o's listed.
i find that very hard to believe.
i save unid'ed items for the 2 chaos recipe, but as that is very limited due to ammy and ring finds i've ID'ed A LOT of rares.
I also keep things which i would consider "worthy" but not GG, like 2 strong resists, or good life and strong resist, etc...
I also have been farming piety for the last month, but only 128/38.
600 chaso and 40 ex from a month worth of piety loot ?
You must be farming 15 hours a day. No way is the quality of the loot good enough, even if you are selling a good portion of it.
The drops suck, that's a fact. It is a lottery and it's a lottery for decent rares as well as uniques.
The key to enjoyment is to not EXPECT x drop within x time, this is an ARPG after all.

Never played wow, played D3 for one month and couldn't stand the lack of customization (played D2 for years). When you make statements like I have to see X drop to enjoy myself prepare to not enjoy the game anymore.
I played neverwinter for about 4 months, I was really into it even up until about 1 week before I stopped playing, but then guess what happened? I realized I had all the the items from the loot tables of all the dungeons and I had played all the enjoyment out of PvP, there was simply nothing left that the game could offer me, so I quit.
That exact same thing is what would happen to PoE if loot tables are introduced (unless they released new content at an incredible rate, which F2P games don't have the resources to do generally)
