Why have you stopped playing?

I mostly stopped playing after reaching lvl 84 playing entirely solo and being really bored trying to get to lvl 85. Progress is way too slow for me and its not like anything exciting drops for me while leveling (despite running lvl 70-74 maps with 210 IIR/ 80 IIQ).

Also, I reached a point where the only upgrades for my gear costed 80-150 ex which was ridiculous price for how little they would actually improve my character.

I tried crafting a decent MF and this
costed me 98 ex to make and its not even done, and i will never get that back.

Trading is a pain, leveling is a bore, crafting is atrocious and all i really do now is sit in global and pick fights with people cause thats at least semi - entertaining.

I mostly play pokerstars and browse forums between slow hands/games. Least i can make money doing this.

Made myself $985 bucks selling shit in the Diablo 3 auction house so that was at least more interesting to get me through shitty grinds. POE doesnt really give you any reason to continue grinding at the end-game level. Its really just an e-peen war between no life losers and its really sad actually.

Cuz you're banned.
cause of Frustration. But restarted a few days ago. Atm lvl 21 Invasion league. Will Play groundslam or phys cleave/cyclone dont know yet.
Having fun again.

But RoS starts tonight, so wnt have much time 4 PoE the next 2 or 3 weeks :-)
I'm done. I may pop in one weekend or another, but this was the end of my financial support to GGG. Bought D3 last night, so I'm ready to move on to something new.

Reasons:

- Took me 2 months to 5L a chest I had in my stash with crazy off-colors that I could probably never chrome again. By the time I got it, I'd lost interest.
- Desync
- Unable to level because I die to desync at least once every three days, or to some BS exile with the new map mod that kills me in two hits
- Insane nerfs to scion lifewheel and leech that made my build lose viability in maps, even after trying alternatives
- The expansion. One month waiting for Atziri and checking daily for teasers and the fight is gated behind ridiculous RNG that blocks 99% of the playerbase. Corrupted zones can be accessed only by mindlessly farming low-level areas for hours on end. Vaal gems are worthless since you need those gem slots for actual survivability skills. And corrupted bosses one-shot you due to the worst balancing I've ever seen in a game, preventing you from keeping your XP. All this patch did was add more RNG to the game. Has GGG not gotten the fucking clue yet that people are fed up with RNG?

I put in 1000 hours of my life and nearly $200 and the only thing GGG does is laugh when people can't figure out how to farm Midnight shards correctly. Well guess what, my time is worth more than their crappy game, as is most people's.

Also, I'm fed up of the mods moving everything to dead subforums to stifle criticism in an attempt to protect the game's image. Don't worry guys, players will quit by themselves when they realize how unrewarding this game is. Unless the technique is to keep them around long enough to steal their money for stash tabs, in which case, keep it up.

I've just stopped because of utter boredom.

Right now this game is stuck in the mud.

New content is not so new, just recycling of existing stuff.
Crafting is still the same lotery as always. Desync is not being adressed.

And on GGG's side, the game looks more and more like:

-let's punish players even more by piling up layers of mechanics at them. Hint for GGG: that's not difficult/hardcore, this doesn't require any skill, it's just tedious shit and favor overdefensive gameplay and builds.

-let's break any successfull build and any sense of progression every 4 months, which only results in having a very low variety of builds and uniques being actually useful. A hint: you're supposed to ADD variety to the game periodically, not destroy it periodically. And starting over and over again gets tedious at some point, when you've done that for 18 months...

-let's continue to propose uniques that are either: completely useless or completely unbalanced (no downside) even when they get nerfed. Why not revamping useless uniques (80% of them) ? Wait! Because you can't update items which have already dropped when every other game can: great design choice!

-above all, let's try not to EVER let the players feel strong even in endgame. Unless they are lucky enough to get at least a pair of unbalanced uniques to get their builds performing above lv60. Which can only happen through this tedious trading system.

It just beats to see how GGG is psychologically impaired when it comes to listening to players feedback...

Keep this "this is our game and we do it like we want" attitude and it will never get the ECONOMIC success it should get (getting press distinctions doesn't pay bills).

Don't get me wrong, the game is good, but it is just stuck in first gear since release, so people get bored...

I love you. This guy gets it.
I stopped playing last week. RoS is way better at the moment. I really like the skill/gem/crafting system of POE, but the lack of character progression starts to become dull. Because of this, the overall game play is much better in D3. Much more visceral and impact full and overall for grinding purposes, much funner to play. For leveling up a character i Loved POE, but when grinding for gear and character progression, D3 is better.

p.s. - the Vaal Mini Expansion was pretty lackluster, no new zones. Just rehashed old content with a few new gems.
Pain is Good for it lets me know that I am still alive.

there is a lot of of nice critic and constructive feedback there!

in my opinion, the game lack seriously a IVth act !!!

and maybe some extension in act II.

Act I is perfectly done.

Side note, D3 strokes a persons EGO and makes them feel like a BADASS.
