However unbelievable it may seem, PoE is more "diablo" than the actual Blizzard Diablo 3.
I don't want to say that GGG "copypasted" RPG iconic game, no way. I'm saying that guys took all good from the 11 y/o title and evolved that concept to a new level. While original D3 mutated into some diablo-wow monstrosity. WTF happened to inventory!? All items from knife to axe to bow are two "cells" large. Stupid numbers are displayed on damage/heal. Monsters are being "selected" on impact. Demon hunter runs on stud heels ( who else imagined the lol-lol-lolliness of a chick running on heels in the country road? ) Is it a Korean MMO?! Many of us waited for d3 for many years now and it turned out that there is even a better game, much much better. GGG, you can easily make your game 20-35$ title and i will buy it. And i wont be alone in this world, oh i wont... | |

Don't vote for a game until you played it it (unless you think graphics > gameplay). It's like rating a movie you haven't yet seen.
Honestly, I think D3 will be more for me since I've waited many many years for it, but I will still play both. But I have no idea which seems to be better/worse atm. In graphics PoE has better for sure, but in terms of game play, I just can't decide that trough looking at game play videos I need to try them out. "I'm in the beta AND the Diablo III beta? Well how about that. WAIT? I'M IN THE BETAS??? BOYA!"

After heard D3 will be online-only, I wondered myself what's difference between typical MMO games and D3?
And I found this game. I can accept it is online-only since it is f2p. We will have Torchlight 2 as true pay-to-play diablo. Soon or later I may get beta on both diablo 3 and this game, my opinion may change. But after watching the stream of D3 I was very disappointed. | |

PoE D3 and Torchlight. Is going to eat up so much of my time I will be doing nothing but hacking and slashing and spell casting my way to no life. Thanks to any one I know its been fun but there is gear to be gotten and monsters to die peace out.

" It's not.. Even when I play PoE, it has nice graphics and art..etc.. It just doesn't scream diablo at all. It don't have that Diablo feel. Not sure if it's good or bad..but TBH..I like PoE can stand on their own. When I am watching Diablo 3 beta videos..I can't play it but hell, it's Diablo 2 feel all over again. I know people on this forum are saying things like "poe is true successor of Diablo 2".. but not at all. Keep in mind it's good for PoE that it doesn't need to be successor of anything to be good game. That's why I respect GGG devs. | |
