so a dual res 6l is prefered over a 6l Carcass Jack?
Since Carcass gives lower res and lower hp than a normal 6l does?
But Carcass adds AoE Stuff which is good too so what to pick?

and on what lvl should i spec into Acrobatics if i want to use it?

anyone please answer?

What you get with a nice 6l:

- up to 2k evasion
- more resis (not only dualres, tripleres is possible)
- more life

So, if you're not using concentrated effect a nice 6l will beat Carcass Jack. The extra aoe isn't needed.

Don't know on what level you should spec into acrobatics, I skipped iron reflexes (took acrobatics early) all the way and felt pretty good. ;)

Just need some help, What gear should I upgrade and should I get a rat's nest and a 5l armour
or go for a 6l.I am gng Acrobatics.

Right nw I am dng 2622 without hatred and with dng 3444.

Anyone help plz.
Sorry for not replying guys, been a little busy.

An update on the Mana Leech issue. If you still want to run Double Strike and only have a 5L using

Double Strike
Multistrike
Faster Attacks
Melee Splash
Melee Physical Damage/Added Fire Damage

Total Mana Cost: 50

It is manageable as long as you have 9.5k ~ 10k DPS unbuffed and 4% Mana Leech. For me, I was able to continuously use Double Strike with a few pauses once in a while. I was only testing this in City of Sarn so I will run some 66-67 maps to test.

EDIT:
SO finished the map. I ran out of mana one time during a group of mobs, and once during the Unique Boss fight. Still not that great at keeping the mana alive, but the DPS is very amazing. Just like Oos said, it clears a lot faster than Reave using a 5L. I would still recommend Reave with a 5L unless you have amazing DPS to make up for the mana cost of Double Strike.

Of course, if you're not using melee splash on just fighting Piety or a boss, Double Strike is the way to go.

======
Hey Oos. Where are you getting the 12% Life Leech from? I'm looking at your gear? I add up 7% from the Shield+Amulet.

Yeah thanks for testing leech changes. It's not as bad as I first though, just need to double the leech on gear to make up for the recent changes.

In the screenshots I used Ming's Heart and Blood Rage for 12% leech, but I have 7% leech without BR and that's enough still.

Hey Oos,

I just want to say thank you for sharing this build and answering questions from everyone here. I've learned so much.

This build is also the first I've used where you don't need an arm and a leg to get to merciless. Just using the Mightflay and Crest of Perandus and prioritizing defensive stats such as Evade, Block, and eventually Dodge, I have been able to get to Piety Merciless in less than a week on Ambush (and solo at that!).

This is without help from anyone else. Truly awesome!

As suggested by user Justifi3d, I've also tried using Rat's Nest and it truly is amazing for this build! Might be something you can add to recommended items. (only if resistances are maxed)

Once again thanks for sharing your build and insight.

Yeah Rats Nest is a great helm for this build but I usually only like one piece of gear with no HP so I'd rather have Maligaro's gloves, but they've been nerfed now so either is good.

My gear:

75% All res
4% chaos

25K dps on reave for pve
35K dps on Double Strike for pvp

Beforehand thank,

You should grab:
8% at start of Ranger
Mind Drinker
Mental Acuity

Those nodes will help you during battle.
As for gear, your dagger is really nice dps but lacks a crit roll, I'd rather use a 250 top end phys dagger with 9% crit than your dagger. It can be hard to find good crit daggers though.
I'd also replace your shield, not really a fan of Daresso's.
Also, your neck has nice res but you can get a lot of dps from your neck slot so maybe look for hp/phys/crit amulet if you can.

You want to improve your survivability so I'd say focus on getting more hp on gear, you have 5 pieces without HP, and your other gear doesn't have high hp rolls.

Still have to optimize gear/gems and everything, but this build <3

CC gets up to 80% with 3 PCs from Romiras + 9% from CW which synergizes pretty well with Bino's special effect

Oos #1

Gear looks really solid, Romira's works well with this build for sure, we don't gain Power Charges any other way (apart from maybe Tempest Shield) so that ring is great.
Nice corruption on Crest of Perandus too!

Maybe look for a crit amulet but apart from that, looking good.

Carcass and a rare 6L both have different bonuses, if you can get hold for a 6L Carcass then it will probably be better for you, you can make up the hp/res elsewhere.

Spec into Acrobatics or IR before maps, but it;s not really needed before that.

Great dagger for this build, with Adder's Touch is provides crazy life regen so it really makes up for the leech changes. Would recommend.

Hi, First of all this build is just awesome. Its so fun to play with this build.
Right nw I am lvl 65 and I have a decent gear.

Alright cool, now is the time to upgrade your gear for maps.
I see you're in Ambush; buy a non-crit, high phys dps dagger for now. Later upgrade it with a crit dagger.
Corrupt your Crest and hope for something good.
Buy a 5L chest.
Get a hp/crit/phys amulet if possible, this gear slot has a lot of potential for dps.
Then on the rest of your gear get high hp and high dual res (belt, helm, rings). On your helm maybe try and also get an accuracy roll.
With rings get hp/res, and maybe accuracy/phys/attack speed/int.

Your boots are fine for now.

It may be hard to you to gear properly at this level, but as long as you have a new dagger and get capped res/high hp then you'll be able to farm maps for a bit and upgrade as you level.

Let me know how it goes.

Sorry if you answered this already (42 pages are too many to read all of), but is there a reason you avoided Ondar's Guile? There's so many ranged attackers in the game it seems like it'd be worth sacrificing one of the life or block nodes to get it.

Found it one the second page after using the search function:

"
Ondar's Guille is best if you're playing a ranged character so you can evade your own reflect damage. For this build I think they points are better spent elsewhere, the build is already very point starved so every point counts.
It's up to you though.

Quick tip: If you want to look for something specific in a thread, just copy the whole title and place a specific word after it. My search was "Oos's Crit Dagger Capped Block Ranger Ondar's"

Yuufe copied my answer above but I can expand on that. Ondars is 4 points for this tree, which is quite a lot in this build considering it's already so point starved. It's very hard to get everything you want.

Personally I think you can evade a lot of projectiles with good character control. But if you feel like you need Ondars then go ahead and get it, I encourage people to modify my build to their playstyle.

Thanks. I will try that search trick next time. When I tried search it seemed to search the entire forums instead of just the active thread, which discouraged me from using it.
The hardest part of this build is finding a good crit dagger.

Hey, Oos thanks for the reply.
So here is what I got for the currency I had and am dng around 12k dpk with hatred and am able to clear lvl 70 maps easily.

All res caped.
Got 4k life.

This is the gear I am running.
Gear

And I am loving this char, I have only died 20 time that too thanks to the strongboxex and my stupidity bcoz i used to use vaal cyclone for fun :D
Apart for that i still got arond 10 dps nodes to take and this build is already GG.
So Ty for such an awesome build.

EDIT- oh I am using increased critical damage instead of added fire is that okay?
