i dont think you get it, open mouth here comes choo choo train

10 max res with an aura (which you could have 8 of before) and a node that most builds can take was indeed broken

but 5 max res and some spell block with an item that you need to swap out which has a drawback isnt

caliga is easy anyway, most ppl having trouble just stand on his traps while they go off like fireworks, they do lots of dmg over many hits, while even with saffell an extra dmg -max res shrine piety / crem boss can rip you apart in no time.

^^ I equipped Saffels for Caliga... guess what happened she did her usual running around and pulled a bunch of blue jumpy-frogs with extra damage. I took no damage from caliga but these frogs almost killed me :P

You know what is even better for Caliga than Saffels? Just walking past her.

You only needed to press "x" ( or swap items before the fight ) to switch to a god-like mode against dangerous elemental bosses ( with the adequate rolls, a Piety could kill you from shock stacks eventually, but that means that she would have anihilated you without the Saffell basically ).
With Saffell you can easily have more than 50% spellblock if not 75 if you are specialized.
Having Saffell's or not is like day and night against some dangerous bosses, you go from "no chance" to "it's okay, not to worried about that one".
No other item does this ( I mean for viable builds, if you take a low life build without shavronne's, even the wharf's boss is a threat ).


Caliga is a bit overtuned and dangerous if you have a good machine and know how to fight her, she isn't "OP" though.

You just don't know what you are writing about. Get your Frame and go test your god mode. I propose in Torture Chamber or Maze.

maxed spell block still doesnt make a -max res / dmg version of those much easier

Well that's fine IMO, since block is one of the only alternatives to stacking life nodes and comes with its own set of downsides (lower DPS in general, susceptible to a surge of unlucky hits).
