I tried to kill Caliga last night, with no success.

After spending 10 town portals and 13 Orbs of Alteration to get some % lightining resist, I tried again and...still instant death.

Well...I'll try again tonight...try to avoid those traps...but as melee it's kinda complicated... :P
Just got 1 shot on cruel as soon as he came around a corner.... capped resists and 73% armour, seems pretty ridiculous to me.
Definitely sharing the sentiment that this boss was harder than even Dominus and needs some reworking, though I will admit I was undergeared at the time. Took me and my summoner friend (Who would never have a chance alone, insta'd every time a bolt hit them and none of their summons made a difference) at least a good 15 minutes of suicide rushing it on Normal, and that's AFTER we managed to lure every other mob out of the room. Having built Life, Armour, and Elemental Resistances to tank for my friend's spells to do the damage, it was pretty absurd to be getting three-shotted by this single miniboss, and seems even moreso absurd in retrospect when tanking both forms of Dominus was far less challenging.
Never had a problem with this boss, even the map version. Don't get hit by traps and you won't take any damage. It's like complaining that Vaal smash does too much damage.

I did adapt. I'm simply suggesting that some of those adaptations are annoying (omg!). In other words, they detract from the gameplay, making it less fun. Isn't player fun kind of the point?

Finally, just because you play a build, don't expect to beat all content easily, even if your build+gear is sound. Some places will be harder or easier depending on your build. Sometimes unbearably so. If so - seek help or skip the place, no biggie.

You can't really skip certain things if you want to progress. Also, I don't "expect" anything. I simply think it's a mistake to make things needlessly difficult to appease the small (yet very vocal) elitist crowd with superior gear/experience/skills. It sacrifices the fun of the many to stroke the egos of the overly competitive few.
I made it yesterday.

I died twice because of the other mobs around her. After killing them, just concentrated in the boss.

It's relatively easy when you can avoid her traps.
There are times where the boss decides to not use traps and thus completely does nothing, is this a bug? or is there some condition that needs to be fulfilled before traps are thrown?
Maybe there's some kind of cooldown.


When she launched the traps, I hid behind the wall and waited for them to trigger themselves. After that I went and kicked her ass. :D
