Oh man, thanks for that awfully descriptive and juicy reveal. I mean, I had no idea what was coming, but now I'm fucking PUMPED! All of those specifics have left me ravenous for the content to come.

Correction, there was the news article with a bunch of things to come. But, of course, there has been no confirmation on the source of it so the information can't be trusted.

What would you want to see in the release to make you excited?

12.3% less desynch?

better edge smoothing on area tiles?

Or perhaps exciting new content?

For most intents and purposes, exciting new game play (real death matches where a hit man is sent to the loser's house?) or intriguing/challenging new content is what would generate the most interest.

Revealing much of the content would spoil a lot of its interest for many players.

Aside from the article, the video release GGG did awhile back hints that we will be facing Dominus, and Dominus is almost powerful enough to ascend to godhood.

Yet.... Dominus fears whatever is inside the Sceptre of God.

Our characters will undoubtedly face that monstrosity head on.

I'm guessing we will be up against Kaom himself, or perhaps Hyrri and Kaom.

If Kaom's discarded hand-me-down armor is any indication, he might have more life than all the players on a given league combined. It would be just desserts for all the naysayers if GGG made defeating Kaom a battle that required the combined efforts of six well crafted and played characters for a very very very very long time.

In fact, facing Kaom is probably why so many potential rulers of Sarn gave up and decided to pursue a life of fishing instead.

Perhaps if a HC char dies to Koam he will be rewarded with the Fishing skill gem upon arrival to Purgatory? :D I mean, ah, Standard... :)

Really? I was under the impression that fixing broken old content and abused mechanics would be the first priority. This is starting to sound a lot like Riot's way of doing things:

1) Release new champ
2) IMMEDIATELY NERF IT
3) Rework it several years later after champion descends into uselessness
4) IMMEDIATELY NERF AFTER POPULARITY INCREASES

Except for GGG it's more like:

1) Release new content
2) New content is broken or useless
3) Try to make people forget about it with more new content
4) More Desync
If you're reading this, I'm probably on another year-long ban.
Thanks GGG.

These self-imposed teaser and information holding policies are ridiculous. What purpose are they serving? I love how the lead developer says he "can't" give out any more information! Or how he isn't even sure if there will be a respec in 6 weeks. Just say yes or no, or even say "you will just have to wait and see". But basically saying "beats me" is an embarrassment. Just pretend like you know what will happen.

To add to that, who is Chris reporting to anyways? He can do whatever the hell he wants(see Razer footprints). Makes no sense.

As far as I understand it this "can't" means he (his Id) WANTS to, because it's hard to keep stuff secret, especially good stuff. But he has to be rational about it and do what he considers best for the game regardless his wishes for instant gratification.
How you can see it as "beats me" ... beats me, actually. There is not only no indication as to that, the whole idea that GGG has no clue about what's going to happen seems just born out of the frustration of being denied your own instant gratification.
they already have decided what is in 1.0

its MUCH MORE than act 3

see mah sig.
The rest of the 'end-game' content will be available along with a heap of new stuff when the game launches in a few months time. From what I've seen it's going to be awesome. - Michael_GGG

Its 2013. Indie devs are revealing greater amounts of whats in development, at deeper stages in its development. There is a good reason that they are doing this. There is zero negative to it.

They're building image by playing into the illusion that you have control over the end product. Spoiler alert, you're not a developer. By law of averages, most of your ideas are impractical, ill conceived, nonsensical or just plain bad, with a sideorder of instant gratification added on top.

With time, gamers have developed a seriously overblown sense of themselves as arbiters of good gaming.
1.0 DETAILS BELOW!!!

You should know what's coming.

Wow, I really can't believe that there are threads like this... I would understand if there were just posts asking for information, but this thread has so many people threatening to leave if they don't find out about release.

GGG has been too good to us... Updates every week have spoiled the player base. There has been new content for this game every week or two since open beta was announced. How many other games can say that. A few people mentioned Diablo 3... Are you for real? That game has needed new content since 2 months after it came out. Out of all the games I've played only Dungeon Defenders came close to this level of content introduction...

If you have competed the content in PoE, there are races you can do, or heck, go play another game for a month. Come back, check things out. It's not difficult.

So many posts are calling out the fanboy's for defending GGG... I don't think anyone here thinks this is a perfect game. I hate the desync so much that I complain in every thread I can find about it (and I've made some of my own)... But there is something to be said for a small company creating a game and putting out content weekly for an ungrateful population that whines and threatens for more... So fanboy me up.
