THERE IS NO REASON WHY POE shouldn't have a CASUAL league

For more moderate players so hardcore/pro players can play without negatively affecting the game experience of incredibly common casual players?

It would have no impact on other leagues since the economy would be separate except for dodgy inter-league trading (which would have an appropriate ratio so no free wealth). The people who leave normal league for casual league will be mostly composed of those who have a high chance of quitting POE, allowing GGG to retain a larger playerbase by keeping them in casual league instead of leaving POE altogether for TL2/GrimD/D3.

EVERYONE from the community to GGG (more $!) would be happier if we had a easier league with differences like:
"
-increased item drops
-massively increased currency drops
-better RNG in crafting
-drops/mods biased towards higher levels
-MF mods nerfed/removed

unlikely but possible;
"
-Auction house
-Reflect nerfed/removed
-Broken items nerfed

Hardcore players don't need to worry about things they enjoy like MF & reflect being removed, they can enjoy intense grinding to progress and most of all won't need to put up with 'whining'

Less dedicated players will be flamed less for wanting a game more suited towards their playstyle (not needing to spend 8 hours a day farming to be successful)

Can you think of an argument why we should NOT HAVE A FUN LEAGUE? There is absolutely NO DOWNSIDE FOR HARDCORE PLAYERS, GGG OR CASUAL PLAYERS.

edit: Counterargument to 'splitting population even further to more leagues would wreck the game'. Actually i think that is a good idea (splitting community, not wrecking the game). I highly doubt the hardcore and casual crowds want to interact with each other.

I am not entirely against what your asking for but I am 100% positive that some of the things on your list are directly against what the developers want to do with the game. For example I have heard them say more than once that an Auction House will never be in this game. I don't think they would make an exception for any league.

I hope no one confuses what your asking for with a self found league. Self found isn't about having a fun easy way to play. Just an alternative to the current style of trading over crafting and the economy controlling the drops.

From what I have heard other players say, I do not think the devs will ever make an easy league. They really only want to make the game harder.

Please do not confuse 'fun' with 'convenient' or 'indulgent'. Some of us find challenging fun. Many of us, Diablo veterans, find masochism fun too, in a loot-hunt context.

In the end, it's GGG's game to make or break, and I am fairly sure they're content with the current state of the game regarding most of the issues you mentioned. I'd address them one by one but you asked a simple question, so I gave a simple answer.

Also, your explicit claim that hardcore players are not 'normal' is marginalising and quite offensive.

You're asking for Diablo 3. Go play it.

im surprised at your response charan. I thought you of all people wouldn't tell people to go back to d3.

/whatever

edited my post to make it less offensive and stripped it down to its basic message.

I suspect that it will never happen because of:

- too much outcry from "hardcore" players
- most new to the game and casual players would start and play only that "easy" league, quickly get best gear and get bored with the game without having to grind for years and bring steady income to GGG.

another outcome is new players dont ragequit after hitting the level65 wall and POE retains more players

The reason there's not a casual league is because there already is one and it's called TL2/D3.
OP: It's called Diablo 3. You can RMAH all you want and not have to worry about big bad reflect mobs.
Level 81 Witch - Summoner/Arc
Level 86 Shadow - Freeze Pulse/Tank
Level 61 Marauder - Infernal Blow/Tank
IGN name: Andrunicus, LitchQueen, or Infernal_Blows
Wait wait...wut?
You're a "casual" if you don't like hours and hours and hours of nothing but alteration shards and alch shards from vendering JUNK?
Come on man.

Don't confuse monotony and complete lack of reward or incentive, as "difficult".

Why do you and others presume that low drop rates will keep people playing, rather than discouraging them leading to them quitting out of boredom? Millions of people fled Diablo 3 very quickly when it became obvious that playing the auction house was more effective than playing the game. The same kinds of "hardcore" masochistic players that stuck with the game tried to argue that everything was fine because they were finding good items, and everyone else just needed to work harder.

Sorry, I play games for entertainment, not as a second (or first) job.

Everyone's tolerance level is different, and what do you know, different people find different things fun? Most games have multiple difficulty levels for a reason, and the presence of an "easy" mode doesn't take anything away from the players who want a "hard" mode. Path of Exile already has multiple difficulty levels, and this system could easily cater to a wide variety of playstyles with new leagues if they chose to. There is no one-size-fits-all game, but too many people here seem to think that their way is the only way that POE should be played.

Diablo 3 is listening to its players and addressing many of their concerns in its expansion. When it comes out, I will.
