If life was back to CB levels...
" Which really depends, I usually face tanked mobs that didnt die before arriving because I was able to. The only ones I usually had to kite where elemental rhoas and Whippers. It wasnt too much of a difference to something like Ground Slam which is pretty much the only decent alternative. Always thought that especially the damage effectiveness of Glacial Hammer and Heavy Strike made them really bad AoE skills unless you run full phys. Youre practically asking to get one shot by reflect if you stack damage. " I didnt struggle with defense against 90% of the mobs, Whippers just were a pretty specific type of mob that honestly gives me nightmares on any character that I played until now. Except for the Shrine and Lair Spider bosses never where a problem. The main reason for that was a Viper Strike I think because my Chaos resistance was complete trash and out healing the DoT while geting flickered and spamming LS was a bit more dangerous. The main reason for that was the Decoy though. Pretty sure if I had just used a Skeleton totem shit would have been way easier. Bosses overall didnt give me that much trouble with that build but that probably is because bosses usually are the weakest mobs in most maps. " Which in my opinion has little to do with the build itself but much more with the gear I had access to back then. My Pulser for example struggled pretty hard between 80 and 85 as well because I simply didnt have a lot of gear and my whole talent tree was based around making something work that usually is impossible unless you have a lot of money. Later on the build went from decent to insane and next to invincible. I dont think the LSer would have gotten to that level but I am not really sure if it wouldnt have been viable as well if I had pumped over a hundred Exalted into him like I did on my Pulser. The reason why I dont see it as efficient is eventhough the damage was high and the survivability decent I always felt like it would be better to just switch to shield and onehander, the reason for that probably is my hardcore mentality that doesnt really like it when I drop to 30% once per map. Its thrilling and most of the time wasnt dangerous because I had plenty of time to just pop the flask but with a shield you simply feel safer and I like feeling safe after investing a lot of time into a character, or at least have the illusion of being safe. " Because its something I cant tell you. Whether or not a build is efficient depends on your drops, the race, the skill and the length. In a race I would most likely kick out a lot of defenses simply to deal more damage, after all I dont really care if the character dies because the risk-reward is different in a 3hour race than it is in a week or month one. " Yeah, you pretty much lost me when you contradicted yourself within 2 posts. |

" And I did that how? |

" Something wrong = Winning demis in 1-2 week events. " Claiming bullshit indeed. Two demi finishes in 1-2 week events with that build. Feel free to look those races up in the event subforum. Ill also requote myself for your benefit: People claiming it cant be done are ultimately only referring to themselves and their own lack of building/execution skills; the proof that it can be done and has been done is right there in the games history. " Quoting a paragraph referring to a map-based event (where i finished top 5 with a from-scratch CI cold caster, before ghost reaver existed- in case you failed to click the links) then going on a tirade about maps vs MoC. FFS. I cant tell if youre trolling or just a delusional scrub, but either way, conversing with you has proven to be a massive waste of time and im done here. IGN: KoTao

Vitality just needs to be like Discipline, and life builds would be heading to a better direction. It is not the best solution, but it does give melee life build some hope.

Yep... Totally agreed...
P.S. U dont really need much equip to get 4-5 k es, while u need really good gear to get such amount of life, not including any major uniques... so in general, i have the same feeling, the gap between life and es is just too huge... But since GGG is out of f's to give we have to deal with this right now i guess... Since I stopped playing due to these ridiculous desyncs I hope that everythign will work and will be balanced better when i check back in a few months |
