If life was back to CB levels...
When you could get 7kHP without a kaom's, life would be pretty damn nice.
Kaom's was able to let you reserve yourself to low life while stlil having 3.5k-4k life and some intense regen. Just some food for thought. Low Life Kaom's would have been a thing if life didn't get nerfed into oblivion before there were many Kaom's in circulation. Last edited by Xendran#1127 on Aug 24, 2013, 6:17:02 PM

And that amount of life is still unreasonable. In all honesty, what do you feel is the proper ratio CI should be to life? Lets say a build were to get all nearby hp nodes within reason, how much hp should they have?
I ask this, because if I grab all ES nodes in shadow area + witch start + CI + that 15% node and the right 5 nodes in center, I have about 6k ES. Which feels right. |

6k ES to 4k life would be a good ratio.
Right now I feel 6k ES is to 3k life. Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.

" Funny, I find this to be exactly the exact same as well. However, I would prefer the extra 1k comes from hp added to melee notables. |

In the far past, a healthy ratio was about 3:10 life:es, but that was before ZO, GR, Shavronne's (read: the chaos->ES affix), and Vaal Pact. With those, I feel the ratio should be much closer, around 5:6 (napkin math, and all that).
I agree with the above that it's currently closer to 3:6. |

I'm not a. Big of you including shavronnes in your napkin math. Which brings it down to 4:6.
Right where John and I agree on :) |

I have to include the existence of chaos->ES, since that allows "ES people" to also get bonuses like free auras and low-life bonuses. Before that, "ES people" really meant "CI people".
Yeah, without accounting for Shav's, something like 4:6. Shav's separately probably needs to ring in under life, due to benefiting from many strong things. |

Just for some numbers for people:
I have 25 ES nodes and i have 182+58% Increased energy shield and 12% more ES. That 25 doesn't include Ghost Reaver, Chaos Innocultion (The actual stone itself), or Zealot's Oath. When i grab 25 HP nodes, i get 182% HP (spread MUCH farther across the tree than the ES 182% was. You can get the HP closer but for more points, meaning you lose the +10 stat bonuses) and around +200-400 base life depending on how high you ramp up your strength. 200-400 Base life vs 58% increased ES. Considering with a life stacked character every 8% is aronud 100hp, 58% hp would be around 725. But base ES is even higher. So not only would you be getting more if your base was the same as a life character, but your base is HIGHER than a life character. Those ES nodes are also much closer in proximity to each other than life nodes are, and are generally also closer to useful passives (like the giant circles of ES + Evasion right near ghost reaver). " Hey guys lets ignore that life gives you EHPS, a way to pay for your spells, usually armour by default, access to instant pots. |

Isn't it also a lot easier to get one shot when you have 3-4k life instead of 6-8k ES?
