Huge patch, still no desync fix...Really?

because to lag/rubberband in d3 you had to:

- play one of the first patches
- on a slow connection
- with greedy gfx settings

if all three were true - yep, you had some funny looking rubberbands.

while thus should have been caught, it wasnt. So what? I played reave exclusively and for whatever reason I didn't notice it.

Thankfully, beta caught it.

you are an alpha tester and you say 'so what?'?! that explains A LOT and i mean A LOT about what is going on there
It's unrealistic to expect everything to be caught. This is, what I thought was, common sense.

This is beta realm for a reason. What misses alpha, is hopefully caught in beta. Apparently you dont understand how testing things works.

apparently you simply did your job not at peak efficiency and missed bug size of a house.

apparently you are good at making excuses and many other 'apparently'. this is a silly sport to argue on the internet so yep, i know nothing about anything.

btw alpha testers sadly did bigger lol-mistakes in the past so dont feel bad about this one. funny enough it is always melee that gets short end of the stick
Whatever you say chap.
Wow, so much hate. Just out of curiosity, SL4Y3R, do you get paid to alpha test? Not that it matters, because we all make mistakes. Sometimes big ones! Actually nevermind, this is the internet: where everyone is simultaneously retarded and a genius.

This game RELIES on desync to work, it just... RELIES on desync, that's the thruth.

The solution for desync in every game in the planet is quantum computing. In quantum mechanics world a cat can be dead and alive at the same time, both states are valid at the same time. Imagine a game running on a quantum computer, if, at server-side the player is moving to the right, and at client-side player is moving to the left, both states are accepted at the same time. Hit and miss at the same time. Be at two different positions at the same time.

Alpha testers generally don't get compensation for their efforts.
You are mixing it up with the Quality Assurance Staff of GGG.

In case you asked that seriously. ;)
Somewhat serious, as all companies have different structures.

My real point is though that they probably don't get paid, and are doing this out of love for the game. So all the nasty attitudes towards alpha testers should probably just go ahead and stop, because honestly WHY.
