Huge patch, still no desync fix...Really?
Soo..When is the most annoying bug of all getting fixed? the desync is driving people crazy, but still nothing has been fixed...it has been in the game for months and months..

" I recommend checking out this post made by Chris: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/318115 It explains why it isn't a bug and why it isn't going to be removed/fixed completely. |

" Yeah well.. I have already read that. But the truth of the matter is that there isnt a single game like PoE out there that has this (highly annoying!) problem. Sometimes you will just DIE because of it if you dont /oos manually. Isnt it an idea to let the server force a /oos on players every 10 seconds or so? that would at least solve the problem of letting the players do it - you will end up with shifting mobs though. |

I really don't understand the point of these posts anymore. GGG has already admitted that they can NOT fix this problem, either that or they don't want to. So deal with it or find another game.

" There is another post worth reading that has more information about the situation, if you've got the time, I highly recommend checking it out: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/175363 |

" That's not the issue. The issue is that its a shame a beautiful game like this has to, appearantly , suffer from something silly like this. Ofcourse they can fix it - they MADE the game and the engine. It wont stop me from playing but its just a letdown. The posts that were linked to me just seem like a poor excuse from the devs , has nothing to do with the issue at hand. Sure, other games have desync too, but they handle it so much better. I assume it cant be that hard to make it work. Last edited by nexus1712#3142 on Aug 23, 2013, 8:10:51 AM

Except that this part is wrong :
" Playing a melee character that needs to hit monsters directly, you find yoursef missing 1/5 of the hits by trying to hit monsters that are not where they appear to be (and even with resolute technique...). That feels really frustrating. And try with short range weapons like claws, it 's even more obvious. Also, knowing that desync cannot be fixed, I would question the level desing choice of making so narrow doors and so much obstacles on the ground! It's really increasing the number od times we-re teleported back when trying to run away from monsters. It would be fine on a standalone program, but with the actuel system, it's really over-optimistic design imo. I know you're doing your best, but maybe some ideas you had about your game are not reallistic..? |

It's not "silly". Once you understand what's going on, you realize that in order to have the game we have, you have to have desync problems. If you learn what causes it, and understand what is going on, it's avoidable. If you stomp your feet and expect them to fix it (when it's not fixable) you're not going to get anywhere. Yes, other games don't have this problem. But other games don't have the features that cause it.
By asking them to remove desync, you're asking them to change the core design of their game. Not going to happen. |

" My point exactly. This is exactly the reason why I dropped my melee char and went for a Ranger . * I dont want to use a macro to force a /oos to the server every 10 seconds , if you want players to do that , make a button for it in the interface. It can never be the intent of GGG that players actually have to choose a different class because of rampant desync issues on some maps. |

" I thought the word "desync" means huge lag spike then disconnecting, I was wrong.(My bad English) The situation for me is: In some instance, every 5 mins, only 1~2 response per 10s from server and then no response. ReLogin and Ctrl+click to force creating a new instance may solve this problem temporarily, but the issue is really often for us Chinese players. I know desync is unfixable, but how about the connecting issue? IGN: ShockGunCombo ;(Sorry for my bad English)
