Why does reave not work properly with Dual wield?

Honestly, its ridiculous how little this game supports dual wielding, how difficult would it be to implement some extra benefit from dual wielding with reave, as cleave does?

Get on that, immediately GGG. Seriously. its necessary

Because Reave is already OP as it is, what you ask even GGG sees as wrong.

I'm not asking for a buff.. im asking for more than a a single fking skill that scales with dual wielding... like why even bother dual wielding ever?

After this patch there is no reason to be a dual-wielder unless you are poor.

Holy crap, 99% of the population doesn't understand the developers' intentions with dual-wielding.

Cleave was never meant to give any more of a benefit to dual-wielding than, say, Glacial Hammer.

The only reason Cleave differs from Glacial Hammer, Whirling Blades, etc. is that the animators completed the swing animation with both weapons BEFORE balance designers told them how dual-wielding skills work.

GGG has been silent on why they haven't fixed elemental damage effectiveness with it. Possibly, they think it's a funny little accident they want to keep in the game.

The implementation of Reave, however, shows the devs' intentions to stick to their original design principles of dual-wielding: more offensive than 1-hand plus shield, but more defensive than 2-hand weapons, and NOT automatically a better choice than 2-hand.

Edit: Did everyone posting in this thread realize that dual-wielding grants 10% more attack speed and 15% block chance?

It does. It alternates weapons, and gains a multiplicative 10% more attack speed, as well as having 15% block chance.

That's what working with dual wielding is. That is how dual wield works.

So 10% attack speed and 15% block is a fair trade off to losing a shield?

is that GGG design logic?

sorry thats retarded. tell me it isn't
AlLLLLL the stats of a shield, the higher block, the life, the defense....

im sure that trades off fairly to about 10% attack speed right GGG?
Reave doesn't work PROPERLY with dual wield????
