Character names, where did yours come from?

Hautrek is the default name for anything I create. Its a nice sounding fantasy name and I don't know where it came from. Gwafa was the name of my Rogue in WoW, it come from a M:TG card named Gwafa Hazid, which was a character of type rouge. Sherubia is my default female name, it comes from my friend Sylvia whose mother is Japanese and has a hard time pronouncing it, Sherubia is how she pronounces it.
i just like pandas xD also everyone was calling me a panda since elementary school.
I have enjoyed first person shooters for most of my life. I think the game I was playing at the time was Quake 2 multiplayer with some family members. I wanted a really cool name for my guy so I thought about it and stryker from mortal kombat popped into my head. I liked it a lot so I have used that name for shooters and other video games ever since.

My forum name is simple. Many years ago, I needed a forum name, and simply called myself TheDude. (I might have watched Big Lebowski a few days earlier.) :p When I needed a forum name later, I figured I could go with TheDude again, but it was taken. Instead, I simply used part of the game's name and added Dude to it.

My characters are more random. I created a witch and wanted to give her a 'gothic' name, but most were taken. But gotch chicks are supposed to be pale, so I simply called her PaleGirl. When I made my ranger, I simply stuck with Pale, to give all my characters some identity. PaleGirl is naturally taken, but I started thinking about Green Arrow, so here's PaleArrow. My dualist uses twin swords, so naturally, here's PaleSword. It was either that or PaleDude, but that's just weird. :p

Made mine up a long time ago, used it since for just about any game or forum. Tried to think of something original, and there is went. I used to share a runescape account with a few guys (don't kill me please, that was years ago when I was in junior high). Long after I quit, one of them decided to copy my nick for his xbox live account (someone in my school recognized me that way... had to explain).

Also I really dislike names with numbers at the end. It's good that not many people here have those. Nothing against it personally, but I think it's kind of silly.
Well my forum name is from my name Adrian, and adding MH at the end is from one of my first oldest teams. When i had my bestfriends around me i guess,we made a team in which we played Starcraft, Counter-Strike and some other games. It was fun and i'm still keeping that MH at the end as a memory.
Most of the names i choose for my characters come from something i've heard and then twisted it to my liking... but sometimes like my forum name, just comes from a song or book or whatever.
Oudeis is ancient Greek for "no-one" - and inspired by the story of Odysseus and the cyclops Polyphemus from Homer's Odyssey (I'd recently re-read the book when I joined).

I run with the ancient Greek theme for most of my chars now - Oudemia (female form of Oudeis), Anaxagoras (after a philosopher), Ioxeaira ("shooter of arrows") and various other names taken from the more obscure areas of Greek mythology.

Mine is quite simple. Do you know the song "Major Tom"? My name is Thomas and i like the title Major [military title].
The number is random. I just typed on my numbpad those three numbers.

Quite unspectacular, i know, but i like my name.
