Character names, where did yours come from?
" Massive spoiler! I actually just learned that last week (I've slowly been working my way through common anime series recentl), so no worries. As for my name, Aplier, I've used it for as long as I can remember, for just about everything on the internet. It's been so long now I don't remember how I first came up with it, but I'll respond to Aplier just as readily as I'll respond to my real name. |

" Same here. I've used "Pneuma" online since I was a little kid and had my first computer with internet access. I answer to it in real life like I do my given name. |

Unpublished manuscript protagonist. Me, egotistical? Fuck yeah.
(The Sword is also from the same source). As with Eselle, I used to have a different name online that was associated with a less-nice, less-stable me. Some from those times still call me that. All my other names are either from the same source or, more likely, puns. I have yet to find a line I won't cross if it results in a really good pun. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.
I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period. |

"I have to ask, what are you counting down? Do we all get nuked at 0? " I'll still answer to Deranged if someone says it. I sorta miss that name/person, but I also sorta don't; but I think I'll answer to Deranged for a while yet just out of habit. Charan, as far as "less-stable, less-nice", ya... partly... but mostly because I was simply crazy enough to try anything once. Anything (fine, except cocaine, heroine, et al), I was also kinda like that crazy Chihuahua that thinks it's big enough to take on a Great Dane :) I really should be dead by now. Some days I wonder: when I get back on my feet (literally) and get back to living, is my alter-ego Deranged going to come out again? "Better to have one woman on your side than ten men."

My initials are K.V., and my friends in primary school used to call me by them. Eventually, they settled on Kaeve (pronounced like "Cave"), and I've used it online ever since :)
" I recently started my third re-read of the series in anticipation of the last book! :D What's your Templar's name? The lions sing and the hills take flight. The moon by day, and the sun by night. Blind woman, deaf man, jackdaw fool. Let the Lord of Chaos rule. Last edited by Kaeve#7435 on Sep 13, 2012, 8:20:13 AM

" Lothair_Mantelar I'm pretty certain that's how it's spelled. "Better to have one woman on your side than ten men."

I was looking for an available domain name a few years back during the first year of my BA (we needed to have a blog for the course), and at the time, I was fairly into the bodyhacking/posthumanism/transhumanism thing. Noticed that iamacyborg was available so I jumped on it.

Winter is a lady-character from one of my books, and she has a habit of wearing a shotgun shell necklace.
I'm weird. Been using this as a username since a year or so. People mostly end up calling me wintery. My other screen-name is dayan or day. For my ingame characters I either put together two random words or go the easy way and use character names from my books. My current dualist is called Ewain after an evil crow god. |

Really, nothing too special about the creation of my PoE name. It came from Pirates of the Burning Sea. I am a musician and I was practicing a sonata that's tempo was adiago. I thought that was a great name for a pirate, so in PotBC, I was Sonata Adiago.
My main character has almost been Arielyn. That name has an illustrious history starting back from when I was a child first playing D&D and The Bards Tale / Rogue / Nethack etc. Arielyn was my first D&D Character and I always liked the name. Where my names fully evolved from just names to my "charcters" so to speak, was in that old game "Darklands" by microsoft. Man, that game was unbelievable. My ruthless party of three; Akinis, the Warrior, Arielyn, the Thief / Bard, Vampyress the Mage and Emberlyn the Cleric, tore through the world. So, many of you might know me from those names, I was Arielyn in Everquest, Vampyress in WoW, and Akinis in various other games. You might know me as CHX_Vampyre from D2 when I was a runner for Clan Chx. But, as I've grown older, I've grown attached to the name Sonata. It seems such a lovely name for a character and I enjoy using it. However, Expect to see the other names on this list appear as I play the game more ;) PS My other character in this game is The_Slide. That one has no history really, I basically lifted it from Terry Goodkind's Sword Of Truth Series. Game needs monkey pets.
