Character names, where did yours come from?

I was on the phone when I was thinking of an IGN for a game, and the person said. " guessss whoooooo???!?! " and there we go.. :D

Well, it all started when a friend of mine linked me to a post on a forum for some game he was playing, probably some Minecraft server now that I think about it. One of the players had been banned for inappropriate language on the server and made a post on their forums trying to get his ban repealed. I noticed that his user name had been changed to "BANNED_USER" by the forum software, in all red. I saw it and wondered if I could sign up on the forum with that name and post stuff and confuse everybody. It worked.

I got this name when I started my first character in world of warcraft with my two best friends. We wanted names that were connected to each other in some way, so after like 2 hours of trying to figure out good names we came up with: Verb, Substantiv(Noun in swedish) and Adjektiv(adjective in swedish, yeah its almost the same).
Been using it as a char name for every game I've played even since.

Huge fan of Final Fantasy!! so most of the names i make for games revolve around that subject :P

according to sindarin-forums my name means something like ~night-human~ ..

hard to put in english - in german there's a word "Nachtmensch"

Most of my names are derived from the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle (I'm a retired historian) although occasionally I can sneak in a name that no-one else has thought of first - which is pretty difficult!

My wife, also on the beta (and a fanatical player) normally uses names associated either with Hinduism or Malay/Indian folklore.

I freely admit that as a couple we're pretty weird but that's what makes life interesting.

I actually have no idea. I like the word Shattered, and Awe. Therefore, ShatteredAwe
