New achievement:
Roll 3 Green sockets on the Mjolner.
Dual wielding them should be fun too, since it should add up to +2 chains while getting a 50% chance for 6 spells to be cast.

That evasion chest is also interesting. I can see a dedicated evasion character get >100 movement speed while on a Jade Flask of Reflexes.

Is there any similar mechanic in the game to the cast on hit, that says that the attack you are hitting with HAS to be in that hammer? Because the way it's worded doesn't seem to point to that.


You seem to be right, it doesn't :)

Two hammers filled with spark gems or arcs, in chest lightning strike + gmp + chain + life on hit, faster + multi... wait... it doesn't say it has to be an attack either, so maybe... incinerate instead?
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Sound like the spells don't need to place in that item. Than we could use all lightning spell including storm call+spark+arc+shock nova+lightning trap+discharge+conductivity and it will be lightning fireworks :s

I thought the word 'Hit' meant that it has to be done with an attack. Life Gain on Hit doesn't work for spells, so I don't think this would.

Spells don't 'hit' or 'miss' so you would need an attack to proc this.

Spells hit too and can have on hit effects, curse on hit support works on any skill and also items like chernobog's pillar, life on hit specifies 'life gained for each enemy hit by your attacks', and that unique claw has 'Life gained for each enemy hit by your spells'.

Can't really be sure until we test it.

Bullshit. Spells do hit, otherwise you could not use curse on hit + curse on spells. (Which works fine)

Spells dont proc life gain on hit, because life gain on hit says:
"+(6 to 44) Life gained for each enemy hit by your Attacks"
And a spell is not an attack...
