20Q vendor recipe=market crash

The discovered vendor recipe is crashing the value of GCP and quality gems. What's the point of gcp now? GGG should just save us a step and make every quality gem that drops 20Q. I know it doesn't break PoE, but it's disappointing to see GGG made such a poor development decision. 20Q gems used to be something special, now the market is flooded with them.

They aren't that many non-quality lvl 20 gems anyways so I don't think it will change much.

You need to level a gem for something like 100 hours minimum to get it to level 20. Levelling a gem from 19 to 20 takes as long as 1 to 19.

You seriously think any players with a decent amount of wealth are going to spend 100 hours levelling a non-Q gem, when they could fork out some currency to get it instantly?

Sure, this recipe will probably have some effect on the value of Q gems, but Q gems and GCPs will still be in demand. It's just too time consuming and inconvenient to level all of your gems to 20, and then level them again when they're quality.

Even in the worst case scenario, lower value GCP doesn't equal market crash. The chaos recipe doesn't make chaos useless or worthless. Just take a breath, have some time to recover, and carry on with your life.

how would this crash anything? lvl20 gem used to go for exalted before this was discovered... so lvl20 is 1:1 with 20%.... not lvl20+gcp:20%

doing this recipe you are throwing away 1 gcp

i think this is great for self found people (I'm mostly self found)

hardcore had it right to begin with only being worth 2 chaos, who the fuck in their right mind thought 15 gcp was worth an exalt in standard and anarchy is beyond me

I always thought gcp's sucked to be worth 4 chaos when u find one

Usually I spend 20 Gcp on my already leveled ones to save time anyway.

Yes you are right, I play selffound gear myself and I lvl about every gem twice to 20 this past month grinding it out and I never use gcps or quality, so having double is extra awesome and makes it easier to lvl them right back up grinding maps doing the same ole thing I been doing maps maps maps maps

it's still a market crash. For those who were unlikely to have most of there currency tied up in GCP's or quality gems, they are going to take a huge hit.

It's easy to debate what it may settle down and end up being, but the bottom line is as of right now, GCP's are worth 25% of what they were this morning on Anarchy, and i've seen more 20% quality gems in trade chat in the last half hour than i've seen in the last week.

This is going to hit anarchy very hard, and i feel really bad for those who had most of there wealth in gcp's or gems.

yeah well soft core economy was doomed from its creation...

there is no sink for lvl20/20% gems wtf do you thing is going to happen?

this recipe doesn't change anything and I dont even think ppl are going to use it to profit since .. there is none
