Loot system discourages group play

Let me explain why the loot system is broken:

Priorities while playing solo:

- Staying alive
- Killing monsters
- Getting cool loot

Priorities while playing in a party

- Getting cool loot before other players do
- Staying alive
- Killing monsters

TL, DR: No party play for me until loot timers are increased (5 seconds for example).
I hate to agree but it's true, the loot system needs help. Yes, you can focus all you want on people being fair etc however if a unique drops do you really think everyone is going to follow the rules? The community is not tight knit enough to have a shitlist of people that don't play nice and steal loot. Drops need to be either unique to you or have a much much longer timer on them before it's free to anyone.

LOL... That doesn't make the loot system broken.

In this topic. NOTHING but whiney, little, annoying, selfentitled kids.

People who take your loot are not 'arses' or bad People, or even rude. They are infact just playing the game as the devs intended.
Blaim the game, not the players.

How do you have any idea what the devs actually intended?

We still have FFA loot with every short timers (that are just intended to make up for some lag and running distance, not to evenly distribute the loot in the party), and they always talk about "loot tension" and "cut throat feel" so it's easy to assume what they intended.

Hopefully they will reconsider before it's too late, but until then it's really not fair to complain about someone being a 'ninja'.

Development public posts made about loot tension are over a year old. We have no idea if there intention includes players avoiding co-op entirely. Or if there vision included veteran player telling the new players to 'Learn to like it or GTFO'.

My point is that you are attempting to speak for the devs by using extremely outdated posts.

*facepalm*.

Why should there even a be a timer?

Why should ONE player get their name on a single unique whiles others dont?

Why do people think that a timer on a drop means they are entitled to it?

DROPS need to be Free to pick up by anyone the moment it drops. Its better like that.

Thats how most true old skoool ARPG players want it. So, just accept it. Or move on to a more friendly game...Like D3.

To be honest, I really like the current system. The parties that I run with my friends follows basic loot rules, but the looting system always gives us something to laugh or fight over. Which really helps with the fun atmosphere of playing together in TS. The timer could use a few more seconds thought(2-3). Never experienced public play, but I imagine it could be a little frustrating without loot rules.

"true old skoool ARPG players" - yeah, I'm true, you're not. Like it or GTFO and don't feel so entitled, you're not.

Naw, loot rules are simple in public gamess.

First person to pick it up wins... :D

Like the way its supposed to be.

Timers are kind of lame and actually get in the way of true loot rules.

Old =/= outdated.

Maybe they have changed their minds, but until that is reflected in the game it doesn't matter.
We KNOW the intentions with the current system and that is all that matters if you play the game as it is now.
