Will the energy shield node nerfs destroy my Righteous Fire build?

There is obviously more risk than CI. All the downsides of CI while not getting the only benefit. That's not even debatable. Do I think it's perfectly balanced? No. But it's still a riskier option than CI and way more risky than HP. If we are just going to assume that the player has the best gear in every slot then the clear speed wouldn't be that much different anyway, except for huge HP monsters like bosses.

Except it is a large difference. Endgame RF-powered Freezing Pulse outshines other endgame dps builds.

A large part of the upcoming patch seems to be aimed at diminishing the power of koams(life based boths) and shavs(RF low life) builds.

Actually, nerfing % life doesn't hurt base life's effectiveness very much, if at all. Wish it did, but it doesn't.

Seriously, why trying to nerf RF wich is perfectly fine when the real problem is Shavronne.

Just remove the damn item instad of cripling everything else.

I'm running a RF Marauder and i'm pretty scared about this patch as well. My build is not OP, I need to be in melee to do damage and elemental weakness, Vulnerability or any kind of degen (like puncture or viper strike) is pretty much the end of me (at least as map mod).

Now i'm hearing rumors about huge health pool drop and nerf on +max resist to stop people running LL RF+Shav. That's probably gonna stop them but destroy my totally legit and non op build at the same time.

Just make that RR Burn 100% of your Life and ES or remove Shav (better).

Where did you hear this non-sense that they were dropping hp and a nerf on max resists to stop people running LL RF shav builds? Do you really think the devs would do this, instead of just directly adjusting something else?

I believe the RF builds will be broken because they explicitly avoid getting +life nodes - so their life will not go down with 0.11.0 - but they do get +ES nodes, which, like life nodes, are being decreased. So they'll have less energy shield to regenerate and thus mitigate the effect of Righteous Fire.

I'd prefer if Righteous Fire gave less +more damage, but didn't increase your damage taken if you have Inner Force.
