Will the energy shield node nerfs destroy my Righteous Fire build?

If there was no Shavs ppl would still be crying about Kaoms, Just wait for the next build enabling epic to drop and see this topic repeated.

Unfair DPS ? Really ? I get faster clear speeds on my Wander, and i've see LA much faster then my wander.

This next patch will cripple any build that relies on regen, both HP and ES cause they both getting nerfed, But so is dmg comming from the dot.

Just to do some quick math and assumptions. If a 500 life pool runs RF with a 5k ES, 93% max fire and 2.5%LPS, Taking IF in account.

you will be burned for 45.5 dmg per second versus a 162.5 regen per second.

lets say survival values get a 10% nerf. If a 450 life pool Runs a RF with a 4.5K ES, 89% max fire and 2.5%LPS Taking IF into account.

you will be burned for 59.4 dmg per second versus a 135 regen per second.

Its quite the blow on RF users (bigger on non Shav), And the higher the HP the worse it will BE cause of the max Resist nerf. It goes from having 3.5X more regen to little less then 2.3X the burn. ''fixing'' the self dot buff from IF would take the dot down to 49.5, and would be a extreme boost to non Shav RF users.

My toon currently Cant go maps with blood magic.

Half Regen/minus max resists maps I do with no RF

To the list of preff/suff I wont do with no RF, ill add: Chaos Damage per second.

Altho the the half regen maps is totally possible with more ES, it wont be anymore I belive.
But seeing all the hate people (that dont own one) seem to have towards shav seems to justify the nerf. I cant wait till tomoro and see what real values are :)

These are the current HP regen values available on armor gear. 420/60 = 7hp regen per second. Seven. On a level 78+ piece of gear.

This is crap. Life regeneration on gear needs to be changed, badly. 7 health per second? That might refill your health in 15 minutes - maybe.

Not sure if it was mentioned somewhere in this thread but if you use a ruby flask to get your fire resist over 100%, the righteous fire heals you enough that you gain back ES at a pretty fast rate (like 300ish ES per sec). So...there is your ES pot.

maybe i'm just sadistic but I'm planning on switching my build to a low life (non-shav) RF build after the .11 patch once i get high enough level

I'll just need to avoid chaos damage in act 2, once I make it past that It should be fine


I don't see what the big deal is, you just can't run IF and you need a very large ES:HP ratio
