I agree that PA is a superior option, I just find it odd that someone who doesn't want it to be included in the game would call it the 'superior option'. That is the definition of irony.
Which shows pretty damn well that you dont understand that superior doesnt automatically mean that its better in all ways.
Its superior in the way that it gives you the same/more for less. But I honestly dont see that as something positive. Its the reason 90% of the games that get released nowadays are utter trash. They catter to a bunch of entitled kids/gamers who dont want to do more than chill, let alone being punished for not paying attention. Why do you think Leauge of Legends is so popular?!
For the record, superior does mean better. They are synonyms. Maybe you just meant that you prefer the inferior system?
You should really practice reading.

Hey, who knew two can play at that game!
Obviously this is a circular argument and is going nowhere. You guys want scrubs in your SA/FFA games to have a better chance at additional loot while the other side wants people to be able to play in the multiplayer environment that best suits them. I am going to take a hiatus from the discussion as it is going nowhere quickly.

By implementing PA they got rid of that motivation. Now most people will not even try to improve anymore because they dont have to pay attention to the drops at all.
Thats not true.
There are still 6 sockets and triple colours. In my opinion this is a very good compromise in PA.
And as I already said I heavily prefer PA, not because its easier, but because people are more likely to stay together.
Also I recently read a good arguments against SA because it is the combination of the Cons of FFA and PA (FFA +entitelment which do not fit together)
For me SA is acceptable, but actually it is a very weird option.
PA allocation is by far the best loot system and still provides competition in small confines.
If you just stay back you wont be able to grab items like : high lv white, triple colours, 6- sockets, blue jewelry(if you care about it) and other stuff which can be interesting
The core loot should be distributed evenly.

Then tell me again why you don't like playing in the SA/FFA parties again now that the slower players can opt out? The only reasoning I have heard is that the competition is too high, which just proves me right.
Damnit, wasn't supposed to get drawn back into this nonsense.

The motivation should be to improve as a player so you can compete with everybody else. Or you could simply pay attention since noone can contest your items for 5seconds anyway. Sure, if you run 3000ES in 70+ maps you might not be able to do. In that case you would not be in any position to complain about dying though.
By implementing PA they got rid of that motivation. Now most people will not even try to improve anymore because they dont have to pay attention to the drops at all. Your goal should be to improve as a player, not simply have every best in slot item. If thats your motivation you should just create a private server, create a pair of boots with +30MS +40AllResist +Stat you so desire and be happy.
So playing this game single player is exactly equal to playing on a private server and creating perfect gear for yourself? Right!

I can't speak for x0, but for me it's not so much the current SA/FFA parties that piss me off, it's PA parties enjoying a 3.5 loot-per-map advantage vs solo and not having to put in any additional effort to do so. At least a scrub in SA doesn't get to enjoy the group bonus.
So it's not about SA difficulty being too high, it's about PA difficulty being too low. PA is a QQ concession that I don't agree with.
With that whole narrative mechanic thing, it's not that I can't enjoy it. I do, it's other people who choose not to. I don't think it's right to have a carebear, everyone automatically cooperates option. That's dumbing down the game's soul for the sake of appeasement, which is the storyline equivalent of QQ concession.
Does that make me a hater? Probably, but irrelevant. I don't care two shits about playing Standard myself, yet I'm strongly against removing or reducing the death penalty there. Does that make me a crazy hater? No. It makes me a sane hater, because the game should not have a goddamn easy button.

Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted. I'm not going to necessarily agree with what he is arguing but I really don't see why you don't want to answer the question. You must have a reason so why not just answer it?

There are far too many unfair interpretations of why each side wants what they want. Because of that its rare to see a real discussion between two people that actually learn about the other person.
FFA people can't get off assuming that everyone who doesn't like FFA is only in it for an easier game to get items quicker. This is probably the most common accusation.
Permanent people usually accuse FFA people of wanting easier players to ninja loot from or that FFA people just want to feel superior to other players.
While there are some people that probably fit each of these descriptions they are unfair stereotypes at best.
If people want a fair discussion on this topic then I suggest dropping the stereotypes and actually listening to the other side.
After listening for so very long I believe FFA people are very disappointed because they expected a far different game than what we have today. Scroties vision of the game would be A LOT different than what we are playing now. I don't see any possible way GGG would back track to achieve what these players are looking for.
