I don't think the loot timer system is there yet. People that can dps at range shouldn't need to sit with the melee in maps to have a chance of getting any decent white drop.
There should also be a way for a group to choose between ffa and timed if thats what they want to do.

My experience with 'ninja looting' has been worse in 'no ninja' groups than unspecified groups. Presumably because they are targeted as easy pickings.
I suspect that if people who supported FFA were forced to group with each other, they would quickly become anti-FFA loot.

But the biggest reason i would stop playing "FFA" if the loot system changed, is because it would be pointless.
I would choose the easier option for loot, as would anyone else. Unless of course FFA loot had some sort of huge bonus.
But, LOOT OPTIONS are the dumbest ideas.. Everyone who keeps asking for options has the option to play another game. It has to be one solid, simple SINGLE loot option.
It needs to be either instanced loot or full free for all. No in between, that would just ruin the feel of the game.
And as far as feel goes.. FULL Free for all is the only real answer. For me anyways.
Then why does ninja looting occur in no ninja groups? shouldnt all the Fla supporters be happily playing in Fla groups?
Also, do people realise that looting is a zero sum action? it's not harder or easier overall, exacty the same amount of loot is given out.

Once you accept that simple fact then you realise that people who use the term NINJA are newbies who have yet to grasp the actual concept/reason of the loot timer.
Also, wanna know why people join no ninja groups and ingore loot timers. Its because they enjoy griefing people who get bent out of shape from loot timers. Why else?

So you feel obligated to grief people because they have a different perception of loot timers to you? Even if your perception of the loot timer may be exactly the same as the developers, which I doubt, you have to accept that other people will have theirs as well. In some of these, ninjas DO exist, and are a prominent issue.
In fact, the very reason you feel obligated to force your views upon other people is also the reason why a lot of the anti-FFA people in this thread hold their views so dearly. They can't even play in parties according to their own perspectives of how they want to play the game.
Yours is not the only view, even if, as you claim, you speak for the developers.
I'm expecting your only argument to this will be "My way is the only way, deal with it or leave the game."

Your still repeating that like it makes a difference? You say its a fact but I can argue against that very easily.
Argument 1) All items are earned by every contributing member of the group, so when one player dominates taking all of the good loot they are called "ninjas". That's a simple concept.
Argument 2) Your big argument is that FFA is meant as a competition so players who take all of the best stuff on the ground are playing by the rules and are thus "not ninjas". I disagree with that line of thinking. Look at it like this, FFA was made to encourage ninjas. Ninjas are "playing by the rules" however they are STILL ninjas.
So your constant harping on people for using that word really means nothing in relation to my arguments above but also just because people will believe what they want. If they see those people as ninjas than they are, its still their feedback on the game and their feedback matters regardless of how the devs intended it.
I also doubt that a dev would say that the term "ninja" is out of line. They probably use the term themselves.

Well until GGG finally decides what happens with the loot in this game it's indeed deal with it or leave the game. sad but true for those who hate ffa-loot (since we still dont heard anything from GGG for over a year now).
