That simply is not true.

But, its safe to say the majority of most posts that want something make no sense at all.

Example being loot options. Loot 'options' is a bad idea. It needs to be one way or the other for the sake of everyone playing the same game.

At this point i could care less if its instanced loot or not. But if instanced loot becomes available i won't play FFA anymore. So, ffa will become pointless.

Same thing will happen if loot options become available. Everyone will always pick the option that makes it easier for them. No one will gimp themselves if an easier options exists. Unless some HUGE bonus will apply to FFA loot.

GGG should have never added a loot timer in the first place. Is clear as day that this is the biggest problem with the loot system. Any ranged players who knows who to play does not have issues have getting a drop.

Its the timer. The timer is what causes the problem mentally for people. I would like to see them remove it for a week to see the actual feed back from that.

Sums it up very well. The point of the timer wasn't to allocate loot to players, but simply allow for ranged to have a tiny period of time to run in before FFA, which was the original plan.
FFA works in games like Darkfall because there is open pvp there. My suggestion is to give players more loot options or flag ninjas for pvp (in hardcore as well). Devs, you want loot system to be truly cutthroat - make it so.

items get SCOOPED by ONE player (griefing anyone?)

it wasnt' only for the ranged...

Again, why timers have the effect of people thinking that "their" loot is being "ninjad". Surely this wasn't the intent of the timer...

The loot was never "yours" and thus can't be "ninjad"

And as far as flagging for pvp in instances... you know how long it would take to get anything done? lol. Lets face it, HC players wouldn't dare do it, and normal players would do it at every possible chance they had. I think it would just make a mess of things, but i like how you're going with the swing and trying to find ways to make it more cutthroat, that i admire.

Well, since there is no such thing as ninjas. I mean, loot timers does not mean allocated loot. That idea is pretty wack.

Flag a ninja? You mean flag the guy who got the drop in a FFA game. Which pretty much means you want to flag a normal player for playing the game the way its meant to be played.

Which would mean every two seconds some whiney player would make that call and hit the hositle/flag button. Probably get owned and RAGE on the forums even more. Not just about loot, but also about how he died.

Because as much as i love this game, the pvp currently is pretty bad.

Im all for open world pvp, but the pvp part of the game still needs a ton of work to balance out.

Again, your post is just another example of how loot timers effect people mentally. No matter how you slice it, that timer is meant as chance at a drop. Something that people can't seem to grasp.

I know it wasn't just for ranged, those with poor computers too, yes i'm one of those. But that doesn't really change much from what i've said. The extremely short timer is just to make it a slighlty, yes only slightly, more even for the FFA. It wasn't really to say "Ey, poor computer/ ranged char. This drop right here yea it's yours, your name on it" But rather "Ey, do you like/want this item? better get here in time for the free for all to have a fair chance."
we arent' making progress....

we are discussing again as if timers are the problem of the ffa while they came as a workaround of the true nature of ffa.....

so if the workaround of the true problem is WORST than the actual problem....what leave behind? tell me please

In your opinion there is no such thing as ninja. Your opinion.

You shouldn’t try and force your opinion onto others.

so you acnwoledged that the TRUE nature of FFA has a "little" problem right? the problem is that it didnt' recognise effort to the party/group only connection/computer/reflexes

com'on guys say it

Remove timer and keep ffa as it was before timer was added.

edit: Btw you don't have to convince us that the loot-system in your eyes is wrong, you have to convince GGG.
