i don't see that, everyone kills the monster, then everyone scrambles for loot... it's just not a loot cooperative game really. People just fine cooperate all the time, if someone wants to throw a fit cause they lost a chaos - Oh well.

Big difference between a guy stopping for 2 seconds to wait for the loot, and not fighting at all. Stopping for 2 seconds to concentrate on loot makes them more prone to dying anyway.

If your leaving guys that don't contribute at all in your group its your own fault there.

My point is that there are 3 types of posters in this thread.
People who dislike FFA, people who enjoy the loot mini-game, and people who use it to gain an advantage.

You mean the game it´s just not cooperative at all, then i agree with you. But, not loot cooperative? Seriously? Real? I never read that, and it sounds really strange.

I would really like to see your facing losing like 10 chaos . . . Oh well? :)

That´s why, if you want to keep the system this way, get rid of the timers. Let the carnage beggins!

You know, there is lag, and we have desync stuff going on, so let´s imagine everyone in the party start to not dps for 2 seconds to focus into the loot, how that sounds too you? If you like this, the system is perfect for you. But it is not for me. At al. Period.

And prone to dying anyway? Think not mate. For sure not.

My fault? What? Really? I need kick everyone? Why would i bother to make a party wen i need kick people every 5 min? I rather play alone.

The majority of your imput i couldnt follow, sorry, but in a general note i need disagree with you.

Wow this is so sad....so when my friends ask me wtf PoE is i'll say its, "a non-co-operative game that you play with other people".

Just add loot options...by default you will be competitive unless you change the loot rules how hard is that ?

In fact you, you should say: PoE is an amazing game, it´s growing well and gonna be huge wen the OB come´s in!

There is an amazing passive skill tree and amazing classes, you can do pretty much what do you want with your character.

The only downside is you shouldn´t play in "open" games, because the loot system is broken.

So, get your beta key for only U$ 10 and lets roll our party!

:)

Seriously, don´t say to your friends the game is bad only because the loot system, i agree it is bad, but the game is awesome.

Well you're pretty right about this game but I didn't say it was bad. If you don't know the loot system is broken...then what about ranged class that cant get to loot fast enough or people gaining unfair advantages by using broken mechanics.

I just want to say something about this part, that statement is very misleading.

To some degree sure, outwardly. But its also a incentive for players to find others they can trust and share loot with.

I played public games for months and friended a few people who seemed good mannered or nice. Now we have a large group who we help out, and anytime someone dies in HC we pitch in and give em a hand if the need it till they are high enough level to do maps again. We share unique items and trust each other with some of the best rares in the game. I have seen exalted/regal orbs fall and people just sit there and look at it till someone asks if anyone saw who it fell for. If nobody saw, we either give it to the newest to the group or take turns. all this without even explaining or making any rules or whatsoever...

All of this social stuff would be pointless and frankly, would never happen without the FFA loot environment.

True. You didn´t say, but i was afraid you would say something bad about the to your friends.

Sorry for my conjecture.

This is amazing! But im sad i can´t share the same good fortune as you.

Since the dawn of times - D2 - i never had good experiences with FFA loot.

*edit: FFA loot in public games.

I think adding guilds and chat channels are a much better way to build community than the loot system.

Whatever.

Can you please break this post down letter by letter?

The game not being loot co-operative makes perfect sense. I can co-operate with others to kill stuff, gain experience and level. What the game doesn't allow for is automatic loot co-poeration - it's left to the players, you want to be a negative nancy go ahead dude; that's the experience you'll have.

When you join a pub game you know the risks. The timers make it more fair in the least.

You strike me as the type of person that blames the oven when you get burnt.
Leaves are falling all around, It's time I was on my way.
Thanks to you, I'm much obliged for such a pleasant stay.
But now it's time for me to go.
The autumn moon lights my way.
For now I smell the rain, and with it pain, and it's headed my way.
I've lost more stuff playing with others and I never once cried. I've lost to de-sync disconnects lag, full inventories and flat out not paying attention.

Don't talk to me about 10 chaos orbs.

Sorry, again, i can´t follow the reason behind this cooperative in one way and competitive in another. It, still, sound´s really to me.
