I came here from Diablo 3!!! [Please post here if you did as well!]

Add another to the list. I pre-ordered Torchlight 2 last night and bought my beta key to POE just now. Can't wait to try it out and I'm happy to support a company like Grinding Gear Games.

I'm about to do the exact same thing. I don't necessarily hate D3 (D2 took a while to click as well) but I'm not impressed with the way Blizzard have handled things post-release and how they're obviously trying to shepherd you to the RMAH. Maybe they'll fix my issues in future patches but for now I'm more than happy to help indie developers create products with quality and soul.

EXACTLY my thoughts. I've got 130+ hours into D3 and think it's a good game. But there are major design decisions (AH, items and affixes, etc..) that have ruined the game on a whole.

I played D2 from release up until a few months before D3 came out.

Hell even played for around 72 hours straight once when I was like 12 or 13.

I loved that game like I have never loved anything else, it was absolutely the epitome of gaming to me.

I never quit playing and its kind of funny because I never found an SOJ!!!!!!!! Not even once!!!! NEVER!!!!!

Well anyways got D3 played it for 4 days or so, was totally disgusted with it and some how came across a video of this game on youtube and well, been playing like crazy for the last month and have a level 50 Templar.

Lets just say I found a new love interest in my life ;)

As I say on the blizzard forums, you play d3 for money. You play PoE for fun.

Saw this on a D3 forum and so far it looks better than what D3 delivered. It actually looks like what I was expecting from D3 after playing D2 (especially after having all that time and money to develop D3) and I'm ready to jump in the beta for this game.

Banned from D3 because I said this game has Endgame and upcoming PVP in beta... Called it advertising. I call it a successful gaming initiative.

Came from Diablo 3 as well after being massively disappointed by the sequel to what was my favourite game of all time. Love the ideas you guys are putting into this game, so many 'why didn't anyone else think of that?' moments reading about the game.

As long as you don't kill Deckard Cain in a really lame, anti-climatic way I'm sold.

I think my favorite is the amalgamation of FF7 and FFX trees arguably some of the most thoughtful skill progression schemes. (Materia = Abilities Sphere Grid = Passive Skills)
Which were 2 of my favorites because everyone could be anything, and the options were pretty limitless.

(Tons of replay value, honestly who didn't want to max the sphere grid for every character in FFX....Or have everyone with Quadra Magic With Knights of the round +Mime on all the Characters.)

To me that is just bad ass. Awesome. The sheer amount of variance is incredible. It is honestly the coolest skill/ability progression I have ever seen.
