Found out about this game from the... "Game that shall not be named"'s forum. Heard good things about this, so am hoping for the fun that was absent in "The other game" :)

I could not get upgrades. I had 1 Ilevel 63 item, a weapon I purchased for cheap on the gold AH. The rest of my gear was under level 58.

Then they said breakables would no longer drop loot.

Just joined up yesterday.
i was hoping they would fix the problems with D3, but since the patch nothing really changed.

i had some fun playing, but when they introduce stupid affix's, and just let them pile up and not care....

Everything I've read and seen on this forum so far is a breath of fresh air. There is so much hatred on the forum of "that other game" that it can rub off on you and make you a toxic person.

I have very fond memories of D2 LOD and I also played Guildwars for several years and enjoyed that community while it lasted.

I haven't played PoE yet, but I am getting a bit excited in hopes that this could be my new home.


I'm 42 years old and have been playing online games now since about 1998. The disturbing thing I've seen over the years is that as the internet evolves and people evolve along with it, they become less civil towards one another. I've noticed this escalation of hatred over the past few years and only see it getting worse.

I think forum moderation is key to nipping it in the bud before it gets out of hand, yet a lot of forums have difficulty staying on top of things. Especially as a game becomes more popular and the player base gets larger.

I like the vibe of PoE forum alot, even though I mostly lurk. Keep up the great work mods!
