I came here from Diablo 3!!! [Please post here if you did as well!]

Also new here coming from D3.

Have checked out some game play videos and can't wait to try this out.

Diablo sadly disappointed me the lack of atmosphere.
I cant wait to get a key and start playing PoE.

Years of hype for a lackluster and watered down version of what we saw in 2008.

Played PoE and realized how shitty D3 really is, no matter how long I waited for it.

RIP DIABLO

Was so sad to see then end of an empire.

Unfortunately, I beleive Blizzard is taking there games in more of a "console freindly" direction.

With focus on 2-3 titles and milking players with cheap lackluster expansions and very poor content.

Still amazed how much they actually removed from the game to what it is now.Can't totally put my finger on it,though most signs point to money.

Saving money on servers
Focus on micro transactions
designed for the "casual gamer"(I think they want the farmville crowd more than us hardcore old school gamers).
Not focused on new creative games...
Selling games based off past titles(though this will only last so long)


For me, I am done with Blizzard and would never buy one of there titles unless I had freinds telling me it was worth my $$.

I too came from the unfortunate butchering of the Diablo universe (I am not thankful Jay...not at all).

PoE seems like it has the dark atmosphere I liked from Diablo 1, and the mechanics that made Diablo 2 such a hit.

Cannot wait for this public beta weekend!!!

Me too, this game has a lot of similarities but it looks like it's done right.

I too come from the Diablo universe.

I originally got a hand on Diablo 1 in 2001, and Diablo 2 in 2003. So I was introduced a few years after the initial releases of both. However, I played the heck out of Diablo 2 and Lord of Destruction.

So yeah, I was quite eager for Diablo 3. I must say though, I am mostly indifferent about Diablo 3. I don't outright think its a bad game, it's just had some bad decisions made in its relatively short lifespan, and I am already bored with it.

I remember someone posting on the Diablo forums about PoE, and I came and checked it out. Of course that was two months ago. Then I forgot about it for some time. Finally, after realizing I was just not having fun with Diablo anymore, I came back here and made an account.

Can't wait for this weekend. I will be donating come this September when I am in a better financial situation to do so.

I came here after planning on getting D3, and then changing my mind when I heard about their Orwellian DRM.
