It's pretty bad. There are numerous things that d3 does wrong. But my biggest gripe is the economy. The economy is pretty much ruined because blizzard did nothing to punish exploiters and botters. Instead they nerfed the exploit spots weeks later, after making the game less difficult. Then they jacked up the prices of repairs. So unless you exploited early and often, odds are you will be broke, and will be broke until you just so happen to come across that ultra rare item worth 50 million.
I like to picture my kiwi in a tuxedo T-Shirt because it says I want to be formal, but I'm here to party.

I was ok with D3 throughout the beta (simply because that was it's best content, little did I know that the rest of the game and story was going to be a pile of pretentious garbage).

The final straw with D3 for me was when I realized that the ENTIRE game, aside from the poorly written story and cheesy cartoon graphics, was built to support their RMAH.

Blizzard has gone from a respectable company that created games with depth and intrigue, to a money hungry power house clamoring to the lowest denominator with no concern for quality and customer satisfaction.

I honestly gave up on developers as a whole until I remembered I was in beta for PoE.

Blizzard, with it's major disappointment and failure that is D3, did a HUGE service to GGG by sending so many dissatisfied customers in their direction.

So thanks Blizzard, for making PoE even better by your own failures.

Fug Yah Buddy
When I heard about cutthroat league I had a vision of a place, and in that place I saw a man, and in that man I saw my sword, and in my inventory I saw his loot

Its not that it is a terrible game. Infact going 1-60 through normal/nightmare/hell is actually pretty fun. On one hand you feel OP as hell, and on the other if you don't play well you will die, a lot.

But Inferno is where all the problems are, it is a gear check nightmare, but thats ok because the RMAH is there. The loot drops are poor, and scarce, but you always have the RMAH, then once you finally spend 200 hours farming gold and using the AH, or just loading up in the RMAH, you beat diablo....and.

Thats it really. The end of the game. I mean you could continue to farm gear, and replay the linear story forever...one act at a time, no jumping to different locations when you want.

Would I say it is worth 60 bucks...not a chance. Especially not with games like this one, and torchlight out these at a fraction of the cost. 2 games similar in genre that are both cheaper and more complete.

No endgame in "That other game"
No PVP in "That other game"

Just EbaySim.

played D3 for about 150 hrs. I was on the forums 2 days ago and someone mentioned PoE, I was like WTH is PoE, after sifting through pages of edgar allen poe i finally found this game. I have since never been back to D3.
I'll bite..........

Played til nightmare and got bored fast.
Spent most of my time on the forums until 3 days ago and saw a thread advertiseing a live feed of PoE.

Now, I reconized the name from reading Daeitys blog and made a twitch account and watched the feed. Next day I'm a bronze supporter and loving every ingame minute
I was a huuuuge Diablo II fan and when i saw how diablo III came out i was like ...Are they serious ? it s like they are trying to do a genre they understand shit about, the game mechanics and the overall customization is a huge fail. I saw a guy talking about path of exile in diablo facebook page. And from what i can see it looks muuuuuch more better than diablo III. I want to get the old good diablo II feeling but ...lol how can we get a beta key ?
i don t even want to play diablo III anymore it gives me headaches.
Thanks guys, take care !

You know what else sucked about D3...Error 37.

Brace for impact GGG. Hope you guys are ready for the the mass Blizzard Exodus.

It depends on what you're looking for out of the game. If you're looking for some light fluff that doesn't really fit in the Diablo shoes, but is a fairly enjoyable game the first time through, and you don't mind paying $60.00 for fluff, then you'll probably like the game.

Don't expect to get a lot of re-playability out of it though. Also, I hope you don't mind only being able to play when Blizzard thinks it's ok for you too (not for a disturbingly large chunk of time on patch days). Buy an authenticator. I think they've fixed whatever their vulnerability was, but people were getting hacked like crazy the first few weeks.

Don't expect customer service. They're busy hiding in their NANANANANA bunkers, or counting piles of money. Finally, if you want to play through inferno without having at least 1 stroke, or PvP competitively, plan on dropping some money in the RMAH.

I think the game itself is a 7.5

I think the way Blizzard has handled the game makes it a 4.0

well said =]

I am now rooting for GGG just as much I as I am for Runic

they both deserve more respect for their works than Blizzard does for D3 IMHO

considering the resources and time behind D3, it is a gross embarrassment sadly =/

but anyways, best wishes for GGG and PoE =], I might not be the pre-order type but rest assured that if this game turns out as good it looks like it might, I'll be supporting it (I'm borderline bout to pre TL2, and that's crazy for me)
