Not as "smooth" as that other game
Funny how i csnt seem to notice all the things written here, cuz im usually looking at life bars (maybe?). But in the end all the little issues will be sorted out. Let us not forget the size of the companies behind this and that . . .

Size of company and resources are all good and well but i'm sure the team at GGG want feedback on all aspects of their game regardless.
I think they're doing very well for a small studio but smooth animations and clunkiness are not things that cost a lot of money to rectify once identified, there are plenty of other indie studios that have handled similar issues very easily. I look forward to how GGG address these concerns in the future. |

yeahe, this is now my biggest problem with PoE after i played D*****3.
The worse is the time between cast and move. In the other game it works really smooth but in PoE Cast, Move, Cast, Move... feels not that great. " THIS^^^ this is what people are refering to Dev's, its the Cast to Move delay.. simple (theoretically) to fix.. :D just speed this up a tad. |

Especially annoying are the shields and buffs that dont actually require you to target an enemy.

I'm sure they have and either plan to address the issue in an upcoming post regarding a patch or some plan of attack come open beta, well fingers crossed anyway :)

totally agree, this game is really great, except the moving and fighting "smoothness" which is kinda bad compared to that othewr game...it doesnt feel like you have total controll over your charachter all the time.
I really hope they change that. |

I strongly believe that this needs attention, maybe this thread deserves to be in the beta feedback section.
The game is perfect besides the cast to move delay. I read somewhere that this was a limitation of the game engine however i don't believe that. We need to be able to Move No matter what point we are in casting, the animation needs to stop and let us move. Even if were mid cast there needs to be a time point when the ability or spell gets off and if we don't allow that to happen, the spell is canceled and we are able to move. How bout that? let us cancel our spells/ablities by moving. Mostly ive noticed though that we can't even move a few mili seconds after the spellcast has finished... If only this was sped up a bit it would be fine. However if this "feature" is to allow the mobs a chance to kill/hit us than I suppose its fine... This cast-to-move delay seems a bit limiting, while also adding to the difficulty/strategic part of the game. I've only played a witch to level 25 so far, so IDK how this is for other ranged or melee classes. But I would think its more of a problem than it is for the witch.
