Cata was where I began to lose interest.

" Cata actually made me regain interest at first, due to the initial difficulty of the instances; but then they nerfed those, and most of Catas raids blew. The pvp balance was also STILL a huge joke, and Deathwing was the worst raid ever. That was it for me. Alteration Orb Union Local #7

So far, Raiderz is terrible. TERA is pretty bad too, in my opinion, but a lot of people seem to like it.
And yeah, if you want to be able to try the solo lann thing in vindictus, you either need to RMT or buy enchant runes in the cash shop. Or if bots are back, you could bot. I botted the fuck out of that game, got the best lann gear on my server and then quit and sold it all to my guild leader for a nice chunk of cash. Used it to get myself a GTX 570, new monitor and some other random stuff. I also sold an average of 300m every day to my guild leader using custom bots using an exploit that i was lucky enough to be the first to find, and only to abuse for quite a long time. By the way, hats of to PoE for being literally the first online game that i have not cheated or hacked the living daylights out of (or at all). Last edited by Xendran#1127 on Apr 28, 2013, 2:36:21 AM

" Guess I'm sticking with GW2 then. OF course I gotta get sick of PoE first, and then go back to Torchlight 2 to enjoy all of the player made content now that the development toolkit has been released for that game, THEN I'll go back to GW2. >.> Alteration Orb Union Local #7

tera was the one with real time combat? Like manual dodge and stuff right?
I enjoyed playing TL2, but I just got lonely fast. None of my friends played it and I wan't really able to make any new friends in the short time I tried it. DISCLAIMER! " Yeah; but from my understanding it is somewhat gimmicky and underutilized, and the game sucks ass otherwise (aside from the graphics). Alteration Orb Union Local #7

" I put like 140 consecutive hours into TL2 right after it came out, and then got a tad burned out. Now that the GUTS toolkit is out though, the game has the potential to become a sort of ARPG version of an Elder Scrolls game; I've even seen a thread where someone said they wanted to basically recreate Median XL for TL2. Many people cannot stand downloading player made mods, but there are quite a lot of people out there that can design quite astonishingly good stuff for games, and I enjoy it a lot. Heck, if it weren't the case, Bethesda would be SOL, seeing as how the Elder Scrolls games are absolute horse dung when they're first released, and rely on their player base to mod the hell out of them to make them good. "And then you will be like WTF, why did mod lock my thread? If you don't want the fun to come to an end, more on-topic, less pandas-lol. That said, I think that map progression's biggest issues, in order, are: 1. Affix imbalance 2. Solo vs group disparity 3. Rift between lowest maps and Merc A3 In other words, if you accept that Alchs and Chaos are worthless, because they're shit on gear and shit on maps (with both you need to multi-Alteration then maybe Regal), and you play with a group that fairly splits map costs, then there's no problem with the map system that isn't currently being fixed (see Development Manifesto on #3). That said, a lot of the QQ on maps is truly misguided, but that's how forums like this work: the unwashed masses are actually pretty keen on knowing when something is wrong, even if they're horrible at knowing what is wrong. The first point means that GGG should still take QQs seriously. When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

" I appreciate the sentiment Scrotie, but I have come to the realization that my feedback was for nothing and really don't care anymore if the thread gets locked. I have added everything I can think of to my OP about how I would fix map progression. There is nothing more I can say about it, and after finding the post from chris on reddit tonight, I know that GGG does indeed intend endgame to be the way it is currently. That is proof enough for me. For now, I am just venting frustration, and chatting with these gents in an effort to calm down and engage in conversation that I won't need to hope is read by someone important. DISCLAIMER!
