This is an interesting point. Have you seen or heard Chris or anyone on dev. team talk about this?

they mentioned it somewhere in the discussion about the database problems they had which turned out to be a bad db page size.

I don't think they care. Maybe they're going to realize that when it's too late. GGG are like politicians now. They're all "we hear you, feedback noted, we're listening.." and they do nothing.
This is the worse league ever considering that we're a week in and so many players just quit, including myself.
I so wanted to play this league and they ruined it.
This relationship is starting to become one-sided and toxic.

All good things have to end at some point I guess.

If the direction GGG is taking is just the will of one man, I fear for this game. It will close with a sad sad ending.

And you never killed Maven? ... xD
Been playing POE since Beta and I have to admit, this is the first time where I truly believe the competence of GGG quality and content management team has dropped to a level that I can only laugh at how bad they must be to allow such shoddy content and quality be released. Feels like a Cyberpunk 2077 to be honest, definitely not as severe but certainly on the same side of the scale.

Let us have the ability to eliminate ALL damage sources in a single map.
Let us elongate 10% of the game that players only play due to necessity
Let us allow permanent ailments on players and give no options to defend/counter.
Let us introduce game breaking bugs which are so fundamental it blocks progression
Let us swarm players with so much useless currency that they get carpal tunnel syndrome - considering many players beef up maps for copious amounts of loot, adding 20 more currencies will be enjoyable...when you don't even use it apart from one type!
Let us dictate how the game should be played - disregarding ALL historic player feedback
Let us, within 72 hours of release, undo 12 week's worth of work from our employees
Let us state that player retention was a problem because the game was too rewarding
Let us publicly declare GGG are happy with a lower player count. (I wish I was in the investor meeting when this was discussed)
Let us just not listen to any of our players and only pay attention to content streamers who are paid a salary to play a game and only make up <0.1% of the player base.

I am dying, absolutely dying, to see and observe how management operates in GGG and how such decisions are made. Will be so fascinating to see how this crap got to release.

What exactly is wrong with having power creep? Counter it with more challenging content, Maven was a good example of accomplishing that. Ain't perfect but it is in the right direction.
What is wrong with content being rewarding? Too rewarding is not an issue and those who got bored with the loot are bored because they have completed the game 100% and only have farming loot to infinity left to do - nothing can stop those players from becoming bored unless new expansions (e.g. maven, delve etc)

I am ranting, I am unhappy with the game - first time since Beta - even the original sirus fight as bad as that was with the storms was not worthy of a moan.

GGG must remember people like challenges that they can learn from and overcome. Remove the tools that help them do this and people just don't bother with the challenge - by by POE.

On a side note I am interested about GGG's internal culture...is it anything like Activision or CD Projekt Red?

No you're right, but your comment is not humble. No hard feelings :)

These are the exact points I would make if I were to address what's wrong with 3.15 in 10 points.
one point on top of these:
Let us crete monsters which are capable of being immune to any and every type of damage. This might be one of the worst leagues ever released and I have started with perandus.

"Let us state that player retention was a problem because the game was too rewarding"
Do they honestly think that? Because player retention is inevitable no matter how fun your game is. This is just basic human psychology, people will get bored of what they play after 1 month. I played 3.13 3 whole months every damn day! It was peak poe and I think just like every great thing, poe's golden days are over. Now is the time of developers. They are creating a game for themselves, people who dont even play their game is creating a game for their own taste.

Honestly, its all sound so tiresome and boring. I will complete this league and stick around just to see what will happen in 3.16.
If they stick to their shitty adjustments, I will call it quits. Cuz one thing I cant bear is, incompetent management f.ing up a corporation or a game they are running. There is nothing more I hate and incompetency in this world. Just a small rant, nothing more nothing less.

return the game where harvest was a huge thing.
It was fun min maxing a character without investing a year into a character.....

Reading all the comments, I am both reassured and sad. Normally I play hard for 1 month to complete the challenges. I've been playing for 1 week and to be honest I'm not going to continue. I think of the new player who just arrived, good luck to you xD. I will stay tuned for news.

Snow you've literally always been on the garbage end of the spectrum and now you're bragging about red maps. Whata nerf hipster
