An ultimatum to GGG

Hey guys,I am writing this open letter or an ultimatum if you will to GGG with the sadness and dissatisfaction in my heart. Along the years, poe grown to be the best game I played and loved. But this love is fading away thanks to GGG. What the dev. team did to poe is unforgiveable. This game does not belong to an handful of developers anymore, this is also a game loved and backed by its community and that community is starting to turn their backs to poe.

GGG has shown their incompetency and shortsightedness by going back down on their 3.15 flask nerfs. They do not have the ground to back even their own decisions. This complete lack of awareness of what this community seeks in poe leads be to believe that these poor decision making will lead to death of poe.

With that in mind I have one proposition. Return back poe to 3.13 which was the greatest version of the game ever deployed and just revert the nerfs and start from that point. The state of current poe may be your vision, however, your vision is the accumulation of what 10 or 5 developers? The community has already shown that they do not agree with your vision, they will not back these changes up and they left. But its not too late, you may be able to persuade them back.

Sincerely, a player who loves your game.

Please, this has NOTHING to do with the DEV team. This is 1 or 2 people "delirium" going on.
Good example is this that Chris stated --> about the state of the support gems and that they for more then 1 year have talked about this "problem". But what did they do some months ago. They released EVEN more powerfull versions of many support gems. This makes no sense AT ALL.

Core problem is, that there isn't a proper game director controlling the direction of the game and keeping a close track of the DEV teams.

Also why is PoE so fucked up and unstable / filled with bugs. Again we have the same 1 or 2 people (primaryly 1) DEMANDING 4 releases per year for all platforms. How is the team ever going to focus on bugs, optimization and server infrastructure with this.
You also have to remember that priority 1 is always the owners private realm...
+1 to this.

I find myself enjoying the game much less than 3.14 (I loved Ultimatum, got my first 36 challenges there, liked the league mechanic, idk it was a thrill).

To sum up my personal complains:

- game feels slower without feeling more challenging. It just takes longer to kill mobs than before; they don't seem to be a greater threat than before.

- movement nerfs (flasks/ascendancy passives/movement skills) feel atrocious. Just like every map is a temp chains map now.

- mana multiplier/costs suck, even for attackbuilds. You shouldn't need to invest more than 2-3 points into some soft of manarecovery just to use your skills, in my personal opinion. Mana leech should be enough, I don't want to play "caster" that thematically makes sense to invest more into mana.

- QOL --> splinters V 10840.1, just what we needed. "We want less clicking" --> here, have flasks removed but continue picking up your 3485734985 seperate stacks of shards :^)

- sluggish league mechanic: too much setup imo. Feels beppo to lose your inspired learning buffs (don't have a HH QQ) + frenzy charges + inspiration charges while setting up the "optimal" explosion chain. Sure, some builds might not have those issues but for me personally it's another factor that makes the league mechanic less enoyable. ACTION RPG =/= stop to set up for "action" --> For this reason I liked Ultimatum/Incursion.

- introducing weak new skills that suck / nerfing everything: I don't want everything to be OP, but Stormrain (which I planned to leaguestart with) especially feels absolute garbage and unintuitive to use with the crit nodes (King of the Hill) where enemies are getting knocked out of your "damage net". Absolution getting buffed by 100000% tells enough about the testing that went into it. Most of the new skills seem really clunky and inferior to old skills. BTW, crackling lance (which looked amazing) is still kinda shit.

Right now I don't feel like buying any supporter pack, I had more fun playing Morrowind yesterday.

Please @GGG, I play and love your game since ~8 years, I don't want it to go down. I'll gladly spend more money on it but only when I really get the feeling that you listen more to your community and don't just throw in some bandages to cover up the most obvious wounds PoE has suffered with this expansion.

How is mana leech not enough though? For example, there is a nice node in the lower right corner - 0.4% of damage leeched as mana. If you deal sufficient amounts of damage your mana problems will be covered by a single passive point.

In their view it was probably the worst version of PoE and here is the conflict.

Chris' knew it would "ruin" the game in one way or another and what ruining means is in the eye of the beholder.

Masterpiece of 3.16 lore
"A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. She hands you a rusty-looking device called the Blood Crucible and urges you to implant it into your body."

Only usable with Ethanol Flasks

They knew that harvest would be broken because 6xt1 items would become more accessible than ever. And surprise surprise, it was broken. The game was more about trying to make your character as perfect as possible instead of dealing with any meaningful challenge. Kind of a dress up.

Hence the disconnect from their audiance. I think they are being delusional about what poe is and what players want out of it.
Trust your mind and strengthen your abilities!
I wonder where this conviction "my opinion is the opinion of the majority of players" comes from.
Any company bowing down to an ultimatum is doomed - so is a game designed by the community or majority rule...

This is not how its done nor how it should be done.
Its fine to type this for shits & giggles, I just hope you are smart enough to know nothing will ever come from this
Signing Ultimatum too :|

PoE 3.13 seems to be the best poe I experienced so far. Not in terms of league content, but overall balance, to some builds can use a buff there, like RF. Tho I liked Legacy, Legion, Harbinger and Delve.

And yet, instead of dealing with it properly and fine tune it so you can actually use it they killed it.
There are so many way to keep Harvest crafting in the game but they decided to rip it apart.

I'm totally with the OP. +1
