Streamer priority is as unethical as p2w. Discuss.

Eh, standard forum histrionics imo.
Not nearly as bad, but it's not great.
If you're upset that companies are using famous people to advertise their product by giving it to them earlier than others, wait til you see, uh, practically anything else about capitalism.
Have to wait more than 10-20 times more than 5-10 minutes and streamers can log in into the game and bypass all that wasted time, that's ridiculous

I think the worst is letting Empyrians entire party in. Its one thing to let a meme streamer like Quinn in, who isnt going to do much but cater to viewers and screw around, but you let in Empy and his entire band of Economy destroyers and the damage they can do to other players who compete vs them and even to the market itself before players even get a chance to play.

I dunno why they thought its a good idea to let his entire party in.

This is a pretty valid point.

Also, Kids play this game.
This sets a bad example for what is acceptable.

This is unfair. Sure, a lot of players don't care. But a LOT do. And we expect better. We deserve better.

This is not really the way that works... most people get to play an early version for x amount of time but then be on the same playing field once the game comes out

Some streamers already get to see/know/play the league before we do as far as i know but now they also can get in before us

Theres people almost done with the game already and im lvl 2 and havnt been able to stay ingame for more then like 40 seconds (total like 10 seconds per d/c)

There are two things with this though;

Number one it's not (or has been at least disputed that it isn't) a common practice in video games, so precedents are set, and//or perpetuated, depending one your current beliefs on this.

Number two, with other products (physical or otherwise (also this is almost a service rather than a product) there's a level of transparency. i.e Johny YouTube tech reviewer gets new iphone a week before release to generate hype//review. We know this to be a thing, it's isn't being hidden from the public. If GGG/Tencent announced they'd be prioritizing getting streamers//influencers preferential treatment in terms of skipping queues there'd be less distrust. People would still be a bit angry I'm sure, but at least there'd be transparency.

Yes, and when someone gets to see a movie before I do, they're "almost done with it" before I am too. So what? That doesn't change the movie for me, and streamers being further in POE doesn't change it for me either. I don't know about you, but there are always people further ahead in POE than me. That's okay.

Products are products. A precedent that companies will use visible figures to advertise their products isn't a problem in the least.

But I'd agree disclosure is important. In this case less on the part of the company, honestly, and more on the part of the streamer. I don't "distrust" GGG over this, since I wasn't trusting them to not use streamers for promotion in the first place. But someone getting perks from a company on their "show" should be disclosing that interest.

I am personally very disappointed with GGG on this decision.

The implicit understanding has always been, all players are equal, and anything that matters is based on effort you put in within the game. Anti P2W is all about ensuring external means don’t influence ingame achievements. Now GGG is saying not all players are equal.

It's buisness dude... LOL :/

Same here. It might not be as bad as P2W but it's simply not Ok.
