And I refuse to watch any streamer playing PoE after this.

Next step is perma uninstall and wait for d2 remastered

More unethical.

Pay to win games let you know that you have to pay to win.

No one told us streamers would be getting bonus wins.

deception and nepotism is less ethical than pay to win.
No more money to GGG before they reset leauge and remove streamer advantage.
lol

This really causes some serious tinfoil hat with all the streamer rng memes. Might it just be true that streamer accounts are flagged with better rng to make viewers think they *might* be as lucky?

Wake up man. Go study business, then you'll just remove "?" at the end of your sentence.

It's not like streamers will get 100%+ more loot, but yeah they got better loot overall. You could simply set a timer to ensure something exciting happens more regularly for instance.

I am personally very disappointed with GGG on this decision.

The implicit understanding has always been, all players are equal, and anything that matters is based on effort you put in within the game. Anti P2W is all about ensuring external means don’t influence ingame achievements. Now GGG is saying not all players are equal.

Agree 100%

What baffled me is how natural was the message "mathil exit and enter". Like nobody there thought it was maybe BAD?! But it was such a long time practice already evidently.
Gives streamers & friends queue priority and leaves supporters who spent hundreds $ packs in the 100k queue.

GGG: Don't you guys follow streamers?

Really don't understand the fuss. Streamers get paid promotions, merchendise, invitations and travel paid for, early access and behind scenes. This is absolutely nothing compared to that.

There is a word for these kind of people and it is "influencers". At most extreme they brainwash their fanbase for their own benefit. And you are moaning about a queue skip. Get a perspective please.

They didn't just get one queue skip. They got 50 to 100, each one putting them 5 to 10 minutes ahead of the competition.

Maybe you don't play games competitively and you'll never get it, but that's what it is. They got an hours long headstart in a race that is supposed to have an equal starting point for everyone.

not just an hours head start. hell i wasnt even able to play the game for more than just a few minutes before getting booted backk into the queue ever time i use a portal. these guys were all playing on a nice clean server, enjoying their streamer privilege buffs, getting their nice juiced up drops while 6 linking their gear in 25 fusings or less, and if the server ever did have a hiccup they could just log back in and avoid the wait while the rest of us played login simulator all day.

i dont care much about league but this is unacceptable. they got caught with their hands in the cookie jar.

Of course it's true.

I'm glad this event has opened some more eyes, but yes, this has always been true.

PoE is littered in shady hidden mechanics with similar purposes, aimed at drawing people in, driving playtime statistics, etc etc.
