Why do we not have an exalted exhange like how STO has a dilithium exchange?

you left out a few demographics, like what percentage of players like being able to earn awesome cosmetic effects for in game currency? Just one example. Or what percentage of players would like an awesome pig pet when they buy a Baconator at Wendy's? The goal is to figure out how to effectively draw in players, and how to keep them interested when they have the average attention span of a squirrel. How many players have bought a new call of duty every year for the past 4 years despite all of them being basically the same game. What a lot of people do not seem to understand is that the economy is its own living thing. Driven by supply, demand, speculation, and perception. Sure, I wouldn't mind a couple new orbs (orb of malice and orb of transmogrification for example), but I have no idea what those orbs would do. IGN : Reamus

the problem is that there are orbs which give an guaranteed upgrade.
if you give exalted a "chance to add or remove a property" and gcp "a chance to roll a higher or lower quality" they're going void as main currency for rmt sites. that would be in line with ggg's preferred method of choice: if it's hurting the game, make it unattractive. edit: maybe i should explain a little further: i suggest to change the game in a way that accumulating whealth means having precious gear, not amassing currency as it currently is. this comes at the price of making orbs less worth. my aim is to have public trading over special player stash tabs (as once planned) where players preferrably trade gear for gear and orbs for orbs). this is having the nice side effect that rmt sites would need to sell ingame gear for making a better profit which is far better trackable by support than orbs. for the obvious fact that nerfing the crafting system is definitely not appreciated by the community i suggest introducing other methods of crafting (new orbs) to have more than the 2 currently ways to make gear (alch+chaos or alteration+regal). have no suggestion of these new ways too, need to think about it. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill! ...why not just add exalted to the npc vendors?
make it cost 16 chaos or so, or add divine orbs as a intermediate step? since chaos is too common for people to actually spend any real money buying them. This should slow down and (hopefully stop RMT), while maintaining the value of exalted orbs... that's just what i think |
