When you go to trade them they wait for you to place your currency into the trade window and then they attempt to swap a six link for a five link and hit accept before you can react. It is getting worse as more and more people are attempting to do this.
Until GGG grows a pair and puts a stop to this it will only get worse. I really don't want to hear any "buyer beware" BS about this. They are ripping people off of hard earned currency. They have tried this quite a few times on me already. Last bumped on Jan 30, 2021, 12:22:18 PM

if they cancel the trade and try again,why is that not a red flag to you? there is no reason other than trying to scam, why anyone needs to cancel a trade and redoit 2 seconds later. wake up.

I've often suggested that GGG replace those useless hints (wealth mod, my ass) on the loading screens with "Careful trading, people will try to cheat you!".

" The reality is they only try because enough people fall for it. If users were always aware the success rate would be so low it would naturally deter people from even trying. But think about it though - thousands of users with thousands more of transactions, its impractical to expect them to police trading with an iron fist. Yep, totally over league play.

Today I got the classic "let me 6l for you! I'm lucky! Look at my (insert expensive 6l chest here) and I did it with 50 fusings!".
Like I was born yesterday... But yeah GGG stubborn enough to not let us have QoL like automated trade just contributes for this. Force player interaction in an ARPG. Figures. "There's no thing like random one-shots in this game. You only die because you take 353,456,237 hits in 0.2 seconds."

" required with free trade systems. and diablo 3 proved you can't have an auction house of any kind an ARPG. you'll play the auction house, not the game a better question is how on earth do people get scammed when the game forces you to drag your mouse over the item before you can click accept? this just sounds like an expensive learning curve to me |
