Mercs?

mercs are needed ,i love to play solo with mercs

This game will be played in mp not solo.
So the less npc in fight the better.
Like fps with bots.

I always liked being able to gear out a merc and benefit from their auras.

This game will be played in solo too... But it doesn't need mercs.

anyway i love mercs ,and i ll be glad too see them in the game,but if you do not like them just dont buy them

I think they would be good to help you start off and get used to the attacks and gameplay

I think it would be great if you had a merc, or helper, especially considering the lore of this world. It would make sense that people would band together to survive.

But, I think it would be more interesting if the merc/helper was a bit more dynamic, and could perhaps, change allegience or decide that she is better than you and that she deserves that shiny new sword you picked up, and attack you. It would make it a lot more interesting.

do you deck them out as much as possible for the help, yet risk being betrayed and attacked at any time? Play it safe and have a more difficult time with an under-equipped helper? Not use them at all?

Paying a merc to help you... ideally they'd behave similarly to a player character. They would join you, and would pick stuff up along the way as a mechanism to stay with you.

Essentially each merc would require a certain value (sum of effectiveness ratings of things they pick up) in order to stay appeased... so mostly they will be picking up your leftover garbage, but if they get too little over time they will abandon you just like a player would.

so what is the status of the mercs?

I'll definitely like to hire one if available

or buy one from Cash Shop if possible

it'd have been nice if they made the Kiwi Pet fight with you

This was a necro thread but I never saw it originally so I shall post.
I like mercenaries. It is a nice way for people who only solo to get a slight boost for those extra tough areas.
I also had a certain enjoyment in trying to pimp out my hirelings in D2, even if they were so useless. I'd still try and see how long I could get them to live on Hell setting.
