Porcupine Goliath Damage is too much

Please GGG take a look at the Porcupine Goliath damage in high (T15+) maps. Even with 45% phys dmg reduction and 7.2k life, im getting oneshot by hitting 2 of these.

Nothing really kills me at the moment, not big legion packs in T16 maps, not shaper or uber elder but if im farming at max speed and i run into a pack of these guys I just die. Atm im avoiding all maps that have these in em because even though i can deal with them, i would have to tip toe around the map checking every pack before i engage.

Im fine with bosses doing ridiculous amounts of damage or league mechanics but this just makes no sense. Sure it is avoidable but the cost of doing so (greatly reduced clear speed) just makes it better to avoid maps with these in them. I dont imagine this is the way you want players to decide which maps they are running.

Can anyone else back me up on this?

Yep. Those damagenumbers on those packs when they explode are insane.

This is a perfect example on encounters GGG didnt think off while rebalancing melee skills.
It's ok for me, just learn to play around this problem, play slower if the map contains porcupines, have a steel skin on when you run into pack, try to blow half or third of the pack at the time. Funniest thing i had, i started a t15 map, opened a chest near portal and spinned on that side where 15 or 20 porcupines was about to spawn, insta rip :)

The "rebalance" [Removed by Support] All it did was lean the game in another direction as per usual. They've never balanced this game even a single time.

Can confirm.

They seems to ignore now armour, endurance charges, crab barriers.. their spears dmg is out of the line actually, yeah. Can be looked into. Had close calls with em today on terrace map I had to run doing elder.

Also with crit mods on map porcupines there are just insane.
Its actually designed to slow down the speed, same as the exploding delve monsters. I am fine with dying to them, after all I barely have any defenses.

I mean, if you want the game developers to take your suggestion seriously, you'd have to explain why you haven't taken advantage of any one of the numerous tools available to you to address porcupines, including, but not limited to... Granite Flasks, Jade Flasks, Basalt Flasks, Damage taken from Mana before Life (aka MOM), Steelskin, Molten Shell, Immortal Call, Armour on gear, Evasion on gear, Block, Life on Block, Energy Shield on Block, Dodge, physical-damage-taken-as-element, Cold Damage on a hitting ailment build, Cold Damage on a hitting crit build, Cast when Damage Taken + any Offering, etc.

It would help your case even more if you WERE using those tools and you STILL got splatted with a reasonable hitpoint pool (Life and Energy Shield). However, I've never experienced that, even in the new patch, so...

I've been running characters with 10-13k armour, and popping a granite flask of iron skin. Never have a problem with them. If you're not going the armour route, stibnite flask when you jump into the pack. If you're killing them from afar, you shouldn't really get hit by many of the quills.
Combat is simple.
Keep your blood in.
Take theirs out.
