so i addimtedly did not read any of this shit as im very drunk but i tell ya that i tried hogm tonight with my bane/ed build and it feels pretty shitty that the dudes are literally immune to my dmg sometimes and there is straight up nothing i can do.
I know other builds has issues with max blocks and reflect and healing and all sorts of shit but being straight up iimune really sucks. i dont mind hard but being only able to be done with like 3 skills in the entine game is a little silly. |

" I stand corrected. Checked online now. Though I only ever got 4 Sextants because the 5th requires Uber Elder. Never did notice if unique maps unlock or not, because I was going for full Atlas completion. Buying that Manor was just brutal. However, my point still remains: HoGM is a PvP zone, which makes it stand out among all maps including unique maps, which are PvE. Hence it should not be a map at all - because maps are PvE. Tier 14 or tier 6 doesn't matter. Not a map. Look at Rob trolling another player. Must have gotten bored trolling me. "Lol CI characters". What is a "CI character" in PvE, Rob? What is a "character"? Why should a player facing monsters and bosses, face "characters"? He can, if he knows what PvP is. He can opt in. Open some special portal and face some "characters", because he wants to. Then upon sending it back you get a raw side, burnt middle and enough toppings to drench everything in grease. Everything fixed but still broken. |

It's a PvP scaled map, with player characters and skills.
You can play Quake 3 versus bots. It's not a PvE game. While it's true bosses and monsters are "Non-player characters" in the D&D sense, especially those who have lore, speech or personality - no one will call a story zone or a map "PvP content". And if you call unique maps opt-in, you can probably call the entire game opt-in, or the Atlas at least. @Rob not everyone who disagrees with me is a troll. The one who trolls is a troll. " With that logic you are playing pvp each time you face igna phoenix. Also lucky you it s pvp scaled if not those skills would do 100 k raw damage to a 8k life player. PVP scaling just means ALL those skills used by either you or the AI won t one shot. Sure, some creators found a way to bypass the formula by using 100+ penetration and negative cast speed but that s all on GGG fault there. If you don t like the pvp formula just ask them to wake up a little and change it so players can t deal more than let s say 7- 10k ehp in one hit and cap players ES/life regen. Kind of like old D2 PvP if one of the PCs would be controlled by software, have Non-player HP, and wouldn't be attacked by monsters. In Path Of Exile the PvP is arena based, and HoGM is just another arena. Like Sarn. Like the 1v1 zones and 3v3 zones. I like PvP, a lot. Still have PvP-only characters that I have no idea how they can enter Sarn Arena, since Leo is gone. But some people don't like PvP. And I bet even people who do like PvP, won't expect it in a PvE content such as The Atlas, considering everything PvP in the game has it's dedicated spots.
